January 3, 2009 Former Denver coach Mike Shanahan will take a two-week vacation before deciding what he wants to do, which means he will not be a candidate for the Jets or Browns jobs, according to the Our View:Teams are itching to get their coaching situations resolved as soon as possible, and waiting for Shanahan could backfire if he is not interested in a job. |

December 28, 2008 Tight end Kellen Winslow (ankle) is inactive for the Week 17 game against the Steelers. It will be the fourth straight game he has missed. Our View:It's a quiet end to a very disappointing season for Winslow. He found the end zone in only two contests and reached 60 yards just twice. Winslow could be wearing a different uniform in 2009. |

December 26, 2008 Kellen Winslow has been listed as doubtful for Week 17 meaning that his 2008 campaign is virtually finished, according to the Our View:Winslow has about a 25% chance of playing due to his injured ankle, and there is no reason for the club to push him to play in a meaningless game with the club running out there their something like their 28th quarterback of the season (slight hyperbole noted). |
