Player Notes

Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr was hospitalized because he has an extremely unfortunate condition affecting his groin area, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:This is a family site, so we'll be as non-vulgar as possible. Apparently, the issue is that his testicles have swelled up to what PFT calls, "the size of grapefruits." We'll go ahead and leave it at that.

Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr had to spend the night in a hospital due to an illness, according to the AP.

Our View:The nature of the illness is not known, nor is it known if Winslow will play on Monday when the Browns take on the Giants. But after missing practices and spending time in the hospital, it certainly doesn't look good.
October 9, 2008
Kellen Winslow Jr sat out his second straight day of practice Thursday while dealing with an illness, according to the Browns' official website. Coach Romeo Crennel said, "We'll send him down, let the doctors look at him and they'll let us know. He's a valuable piece to this puzzle so if he's able to do something the next couple of days in practice then we'll let him do something, catch him up and get him ready. He'll want to play. We'll do everything we can to let him play."

Our View:He will have extra time to recover as the Browns don't battle the Giants until Monday night, but that could also potentially hurt fantasy owners if he is to be a game-time decision. The Giants' pass defense is ranked second in the NFL as well.

Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr sat out Wednesday's practice with an unspecified illness. But he was at the facility and it's not believed to be anything that will keep him out of Monday's game, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Winslow owners should not be worried about the tight end missing game time in Week 6.

Kellen Winslow Jr was forced to go to the locker room after injuring his knee in Sunday's win over Cincinnati, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

Our View:He only exited briefly and was able to finish the game. The team has a bye this week which will give him more time to heal.
