January 17, 2010 Antonio Gates had a solid outing in Sunday's 17-14 playoff loss to the Jets at Qualcomm Stadium, as he hauled in eight passes for 93 yards. Our View:The Chargers were well-rested while coming off a first-round bye, but could not knock off the well-balanced Jets. Now Gates (and four other members of the Chargers) should be free to participate in the Pro Bowl. |

December 29, 2009 Five members of the Chargers were elected to the AFC Pro Bowl roster, according to their Our View:They helped the Chargers clinch the AFC West title, and are 12-3 heading into the regular season finale against Washington. Gates will be a Pro Bowler for the sixth time, and it was previously reported that top receiver Vincent Jackson was snubbed. |

December 13, 2009 Antonio Gates caught four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown on Sunday as the Chargers edged the Cowboys 20-17 for their seventh straight win. Our View:Gates has five TDs on the season, but Sunday's performance marks just the third week that he's gotten into the end zone. The score was nice for owners, but he was held to his second-lowest yardage total of the season, and it came on the heels of two straight weeks of 100-plus-yard performances. |

December 6, 2009 Antonio Gates hauled in eight passes for an eye-popping 167 yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over the Browns. Our View:Even though Gates didn't get in the end zone, the yardage total was golden for owners. It represents his highest output this season, and the elite tight end now has back-to-back 100+ yard games with two scores over that span. His TDs have been few and far between this season, but he remains one of Phillip Rivers' favorite targets. |

November 29, 2009 Antonio Gates exploded for 118 yards and two scores on seven catches in Sunday's 43-14 win over the Chiefs. Our View:Gates caught a 19-yard pass in the first quarter and a 15-yarder in the second quarter for his two scores. His long in the game was 22 yards, and he now has two multiple score games this season. Unfortunately for owners, those are the only two weeks he's gotten into the end zone this season. |
