November 5, 2009 Antonio Gates (foot) fully practiced Thursday after being limited yesterday, according to the Chargers' Our View:Gates should be fine to play Sunday at the Giants if he can practice tomorrow without an issue. The stud tight end will have a tough road matchup, as New York is ranked third in pass defense. |

November 4, 2009 Antonio Gates was limited in Wednesday's practice while nursing a foot ailment, according to the Chargers' Our View:The elite tight end should be good to go for Sunday's battle with the Giants at the Meadowlands if he practices through the rest of the week without a problem. He only scored two touchdowns so far, but averages just under 75 yards per game. |

October 4, 2009 Antonio Gates finally broke out of his season-long funk on Sunday. The elite tight end reeled in nine balls for 124 yards and two scores. The only problem for San Diego, however, is that his big night came in a losing effort, a 38-28 defeat at the hands of the Steelers. Our View:Gates had caught at least five balls for 64 yards in each of the team's first three games, but had yet to find the end-zone. Tonight's monster performance should quell any doubts you had about the all-world player. |
