Stephen Cooper fully practiced Thursday, according to NFL.com. He has been dealing with a knee injury.

Our View:Cooper should be good to go for Sunday's game at Kansas City if he practices without any issues tomorrow. The star linebacker currently leads San Diego with 43 tackles (32 solo).

Stephen Cooper gets the gold star on defense in Monday night's 24-20 win at Oakland, as he racked up 13 solo tackles and forced a fumble.

Our View:Cooper racked up 98 tackles (72 solo) in only 12 games last season, and looks to be ready to join the elite class among fantasy linebackers in 2009 while operating in the Chargers' 3-4 defense. Tonight's performance in the season opener was quite impressive.
October 19, 2008
Linebacker Stephen Cooper registered 11 tackles (9 solos, 2 assists) in the Week 7 loss to Buffalo.

Our View:Cooper is tearing it up since his return from the four-game suspension. In the past three weeks, he has compiled 23 solos, 6 assists and a sack.

Norv Turner stopped short of saying that Stephen Cooper would start Sunday in his return from a four-game suspension, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. "He'll play a lot of the game," Turner said. "He's had a good week we'll have to make a decision on whether he'll start or not. But he's always in great condition he's worked extremely hard."

Our View:Leave Cooper on your bench in IDP leagues this week, but he should be re-inserted next week against the Patriots.
September 30, 2008
Stephen Cooper is set to return to the Chargers in Week 5 after serving his four-game suspension for failing a drug test, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Our View:He is expected to start Sunday, and will provide a solid boost to a Chargers' defense that has struggled over the first quarter of the season. He racked up 108 tackles (73 solo) in 2007, with two sacks, three forced fumbles, and two interceptions. He should be targeted if available on the waiver wire in IDP leagues.
