Antonio Chatman is the leading candidate for the number three receiver role out of the slot, according to Bengals.com. He is healthy and has retained his quickness and agility.

Our View:He will serve as a solid compliment to studs Chad Johnson and Houshmandzadeh. He only averaged 7.8 yards per reception in 2007, but was slowed by injuries, and that number will go up to a more favorable level if he can stay healthy. He has potential to be a late-round sleeper.

The Bengals re-signed Antonio Chatman to a two-year contract on Tuesday, according to SportsTicker. Chatman was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent. He caught just 19 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown in 2007 and is unlikely to do much more in 2008.

Antonio Chatman has been placed on IR with a groin injury, ending his season, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He's the third wide receiver the Bengals have lost this season.
October 27, 2006
Antonio Chatman has been downgraded to doubtful for Week 8, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He's battling a groin injury. With Chatman dinged up and Kelley Washington already considered out, the Bengals might be pressed into playing Chris Henry this week whether they want to or not.

Antonio Chatman should see his role expand this Sunday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. "I'm sure (the coaches will) put in some things for Antonio," wide receiver Kelley Washington said. "He's the kind of guy that you can put all over the field - whether it's in the slot or outside or on special teams. He's just going to help us with his speed." Chatman, who has been recovering from a groin injury, saw only limited action against the Patriots in Week 4.
