Quinn Gray will be the Chiefs backup quarterback, replacing Ingle Martin at the position, according to the Kansas City Star.

Week 8 inactives: QB Quinn Gray (3rd), OL Barry Richardson, OL Brian De La Puente, P Dustin Colquitt, LB Erik Walden, WR Jeff Webb, RB Larry Johnson, DL T.J. Jackson

Our View:No surprises here. Kolby Smith and Jamaal Charles will once again fill in for Larry Johnson. Linebacker Donnie Edwards is active.

Quinn Gray has signed with the Chiefs, according to the KC Star. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. He is expected to be at practice today.

Our View:The team went with Gray over Bruce Gradkowski. He has fared well during his time with the Jaguars, and will provide favorable depth with Brodie Croyle (knee) lost for the season.

The second veteran quarterback that the Chiefs brought in to workout was Quinn Gray, according to ESPN. There is no word if either Quinn or Brad Gradkowski has signed a contract with the Chiefs.

Our View:If Quinn is signed by the Chiefs you can expect him to get a chance to fight for playing time.

Quinn Gray has been cut by the Colts, according to the Indianapolis Star. Fellow quarterback Jared Lorenzen failed to make the team as well.

Our View:The moves indicate that the team is confident with the health of Peyton Manning, and trust Jim Sorgi as the primary backup.
