As expected, the Panthers have re-signed Jordan Gross, according to the Associated Press. He signed a six-year deal, but financial details are yet to be disclosed.

Our View:Gross is the anchor of the Panthers' offensive line as their best tackle. The Panthers placed the franchise tag on Julius Peppers after getting Gross' deal done.

The Panthers are reportedly finalizing a new deal with Jordan Gross, according to the Charlotte Observer. The six-year contract would pay him $30.5MM over the first three years.

Our View:Completing the Gross deal will allow the Panthers to slap the franchise tag on elite defensive end Julius Peppers.

NFL.com reports that the Panthers are making significant progress with free-agent tackle Jordan Gross and that an announcement on a new contract could come as soon as Thursday. The deal is believed to be worth $9 million annually.

Our View:Keeping Gross was the Panthers' top priority this offseason. Once he is signed, expect the team to franchise Julius Peppers, despite his public statements that he does not want to return to the team. In turn, the Panthers will likely offer Peppers up for additional draft picks.

Re-signing tackle Jordan Gross is believed to be a top priority for the Panthers and the club may work on his deal before concentrating on retaining Julius Peppers, according to the Rock Hill Herald.

Our View:The Panthers may ink Gross to a long-term deal and place the franchise tag on Peppers, who is not sure he wants to remain in Carolina.

The Redskins could target offensive tackle Jordan Gross when he hits the free agent market this offseason, the National Football Post reports.

Our View:The Panthers may try to franchise Gross, but they could also use the tag to bring back defensive end Julius Peppers. If Gross hits the open market, Daniel Snyder may try to outbid everyone. The Redskins offensive line is old and doesn't have much young talent waiting in the wings.
