Kevin Williams (knee) is officially questionable for this Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Saints, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Our View:He is expected to play, but this does mean that he isn't all that close to 100 percent. While the Saints are obviously most deadly through the air, they will burn you if you cannot stop the run. The Vikes are going to need a big game from both halves of the Williams Wall.

Updating an earlier report, Kevin Williams is expected to start in the NFC title game against New Orleans, according to Jason LaCanfora's (ESPN) twitter page. He has a bruised bone on his knee.

Our View:This is good news, as the stud defensive tackle helps form one of the best run defenses in the NFL.

Run-stopper Kevin Williams was seen at Vikings practice with a wrap on his balky left knee on Thursday, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. He did not participate in practice for the second straight day.

Our View:The Vikes' are going to need their defense to be at full-strength to have a realistic shot at slowing down New Orleans' highly-dangerous offense. If Williams is out again on Friday, alarm bells may begin to sound.

Defensive linemen Kevin Williams and Pat Williams will both play in Week 1 despite their legal limbo with the NFL, according to ESPN.

Our View:The Williams brothers were both suspended four-games for positive steroid tests in 2008, but have their punishment on hold after they sued the NFL for allegedly violating Minnesota labor laws. They are "awaiting a ruling this week from the U.S. Court of Appeals that will determine whether their case can proceed in Minnesota state court," but the NFL has said they can both play this week regardless of the ruling.

The Associated Press reports that Judge Gary Larson will issue a ruling August 7th on whether Pat and Kevin Williams will be allowed to play for the Vikings this season.

Our View:The NFL wants to wait until the Federal Court matters are resolved before taking a stance. The players' lawyer stated that they can be ready for trial in a month.
