LaBrandon Toefield had a less than impressive game for the Panthers on Thursday, toting the rock 13 times on 18 carries, and he could be cut, according to CarolinaGrowl.com.

Our View:Toefield is deep on the depth chart at running back, behind DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart and Nick Goings, so his time with the Panthers may soon come to an end.

LaBrandon Toefield has been in and out of practice due to ailments, and is not doing anything to prove he deserves a roster spot with the Panthers, according to the Rock Hill Herald.

Our View:DeAngelo Williams and top rookie Jon Stewart are locks to make the Panthers, and Nick Goings is also likely safe, meaning Toefield will be fighting for the final roster spot at the position.

LaBrandon Toefield has inked a one-year deal with the Panthers, according to the Rock Hill Herald. Toefield is a talented young back but was limited while in a crowded Jacksonville backfield.

LaBrandon Toefield is in jeopardy of losing his spot on the Jaguars roster to Alvin Pearman. The Florida Times-Union reports that Pearman might have the edge due to his play on special teams.

Our View:Another team would almost certainly sign Toefield if he loses his job in Jacksonville. We’ll find out by Saturday’s deadline for roster cuts.

LaBrandon Toefield was told yesterday that he will be active for Sunday's game, according to the Florida Times-Union. He hasn't appeared in a game since Oct. 22, but Fred Taylor could miss Week 16, and Maurice Jones-Drew is dinged up, so the Jags want some depth in the backfield.
