Coach Art Shell made it clear that Justin Fargas would be taking over as the Raiders starting running back with LaMont Jordan sidelined, according to the Contra Costa Times. Shell also stated that Zack Crocket and ReShard Lee could get a bit more work, as well.

Art Shell told the Oakland Tribune that he plans to use Fargas more this week - Fargas had just one carry Monday night - albeit coaches often toss around comments like that and they don't always matter come game day.

An MRI on the dislocated left shoulder of Justin Fargas revealed less damage than intially thought, and there's a chance he could play this weekend against Arizona, acocrding to the Mercury News. "Yeah, I'm not ruling it out," Fargas said. "I'm going to treat it and rehab it. If I'm able to go, I'll go."

Art Shell says he wants to give Justin Fargas more carries as the season goes along, according to the AP. Granted coaches always say this sort of thing, but Fargas has been running well in limited action this year, picking up 153 yards on 17 carries. Even if you take away Fargas' 48-yard jaunt against the Browns, he's still making 6.6 yards a carry.

"It's a good combination," Shell said, taking note of Jordan's strength running inside and Fargas' strong running outside. "We've got to keep that going for us."
