December 31, 2007
Chris Brown was unable to complete Sunday night's game. Coach Jeff Fisher didn't reveal what the injury was that forced Brown out, according to the Tennessean. Brown had seven carries for 22 yards and a touchdown before exiting. We'll have to wait for Fisher to update things during his press conference on Monday.
December 2, 2007
LenDale White left Sunday's contest early with a shoulder injury, and Chris Brown rushed 11 times for 46 yards and a touchdown in his absence. The severity of White's injury is still unclear at this point, but Brown would start in Week 14 should White be forced to miss some time.

Chris Brown appears ready to return from his sprained ankle on Monday night. "I feel fine," Brown said Friday, according to the Tennessean. "I have practiced all week and it shouldn't be an issue. I felt like I could go last week but they played it safe. … I'm ready to get it going and show what I've got again." There's a chance that both Brown and Chris Henry will be active and back up LenDale White, but Henry might withdraw his appeal of a four-game suspension in order to begin serving it on Monday.
November 10, 2007
Chris Brown again practiced on Friday. However, it's possible that he could miss yet another game due to his sprained ankle, according to the Tennessean. In that case, Chris Henry would again back up starter LenDale White this week.
November 8, 2007
Chris Brown returned to practice Wednesday, splitting carries with Chris Henry while starter LenDale White rested a sore toe. “I think Chris is ready to come back, but Coach Fisher has to decide what we’re going to do,” White told the Tennessean. “Chris looked real good. He had some time off and he told me he feels good, so we’ll be happy to see him back.”
November 4, 2007
Chris Brown will not suit up on Sunday for the Titans. He is officially listed as inactive due to a left ankle injury. LenDale White will once again take the vast majority of the hand-offs for the Titans on Sunday against the Panthers.
November 3, 2007
Chris Brown again missed practice on Friday. Coach Jeff Fisher said that Brown will be a game-time call on Sunday, though, according to the Tennessean. It doesn't appear likely that he will suit up, unless LenDale White can't play though his toe injury, but we'll have to wait and see. With rookie Chris Henry facing a suspension, too, the Titans' backfield is in a real state of flux.

Chris Brown did not practice Thursday, and will likely need to sit out another week. He's dealing with a high ankle sprain.

October 26, 2007
Titans running back Chris Brown practiced on a limited basis on Friday, and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s tilt against the Raiders. Brown did not play last week with a sprained ankle, and will be a game-time decision this week.
October 21, 2007
As expected, Chris Brown was deactivated for Sunday’s Week 7 matchup with Houston.
October 19, 2007
Chris Brown missed another practice Thursday due to his ankle injury and is very questionable for Sunday's game at Houston. LenDale White, by default, will probably have to carry the load for the Titans, and Chris Henry may dress as well.
October 14, 2007
Chris Brown suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter Sunday and did not return, according to the Nashville Tennessean. "Somebody just rolled up on it," Brown said. "We'll see how bad it is." It's unclear if this injury will affect his status for Week 7.

The Titans had tremendous success running the ball against Jacksonville in the season opener, with Chris Brown producing 175 yards on 19 carries and LenDale White adding 66 yards on 18 totes. And while Titans coach Jeff Fisher told the Tennessean he plans to continue using both backs, he added that he would like to establish one as getting 60 percent of the carries. It may even end up being a game-to-game situation, with Brown more effective when the Titans spread out a bigger defense like the Jaguars and White getting a larger share against smaller, faster teams like this week's opponents, the Colts. Of course, neither back is noted for their durability so the feature gig might go to whichever can stay healthy the longest. It certainly isn't the ideal fantasy situation.
September 9, 2007
LenDale White started at running back for the Titans in Week 1, but it was Chris Brown who excelled. Brown carried the ball 19 times for a whopping 175 yards, though he was unable to cross the goal line. Meanwhile, White had 66 yards on 18 carries. Brown had twice as many carries as White in the second half, so it will be interesting to see how the carries are split up in Week 2.
August 26, 2007
The Titans appear set to enter the season with a running back by committee. Coach Jeff Fisher said Saturday that both LenDale White and Chris Brown will be heavily involved in the game plan in Week 1, according to the Nashville Tennessean. "We're getting excellent production from Chris and LenDale, and one would think we've got a situation where we are going to use them both every week," Fisher said. "I'm pleased with that. We have a good problem, and either way we decide we are going to be good." Rookie Chris Henry won't figure into the mix unless White or Brown gets hurt or fails to perform well.
August 17, 2007
Chris Brown had 11 carries for 67 yards in Friday's loss at New England. That makes Brown the backfield winner for the evening; Chris Henry had just 15 yards on eight attempts, and LenDale White (ankle), who was in line to start, did not dress.
July 31, 2007
Chris Brown worked with the first team during afternoon practice on Monday, according to the Nashville City Paper. LenDale White had worked with the starting unit prior to this, although it remains unclear if this is a permanent demotion.
June 18, 2007
Running back Chris Brown agreed to a one-year contract with the Titans on Monday and will join the team in time for their final minicamp starting tomorrow. “I wouldn’t have necessarily predicted this when the free agency period started,” Brown’s agent told the Associated Press. “But we’re constantly evaluating things. It really comes down to opportunity, and we’re hoping Chris can go in there and compete and contribute.”
June 16, 2007
The Titans and Chris Brown continue to have contract talks. The club wants to have a deal completed by Tuesday's final minicamp, according to the Tennessean. Brown's agent said Thursday that his client had narrowed his choices down to the Titans and Bears. Both teams lack certainty in the backfield, so he could have an opportunity to get carries depending on how things work out in camp and as the season gets underway.
June 8, 2007
The Titans taped over Chris Brown ’s name on his locker and gave his number to second-round pick Chris Henry, but there’s still a possibility he’ll return to Tennessee to provide the team with some much-needed running back depth. “I think we’ve had the same interest level in Chris all along, but I think we sort of lost focus for a while once the draft picks came in,” Titans GM Mike Reinfeld told the Nashville City Paper. “We’ve always thought that Chris was a talented football player and that he makes us a better football team.” Between Henry and LenDale White the Titans have zero veteran presence at the running back position, so Brown’s return to a system he knows and has had success in makes sense.
May 19, 2007
The Pats have expressed some interest in signing free agent Chris Brown this offseason, according to the Boston Herald. "We’ve had some cursory conversations with the Patriots," said Wynn Silberman, who represents Brown. He'd be a reserve with the Pats, so he may wait to see if he can find a larger role with a different team.
