Anquan Boldin hauled in eight receptions for 105 yards in today's 31-20 win over the Seahawks.

Our View:Boldin looks to be recovered from the ankle injury that forced him to miss Week 9 at Chicago, evidenced by his strong performance. Barring a setback, the elite receiver should be a safe fantasy option for Week 11 at St. Louis.
November 13, 2009
The Seattle Times reports that Anquan Boldin practiced without limitation again on Friday, and will play against the Seahawks this weekend.

Our View:Officially he is is probable, but his one week absence looks just like that - a one week absence.
November 12, 2009
According to the National Football Post, Anquan Boldin practiced in full on Wednesday and is expected to play in Week 10 against Seattle.

Our View:Boldin, who injured his ankle on October 11th, hasn't been the dominant receiver fantasy owners remember from last year. He's clearly been effected by the injury and made some disparaging comments about his coach for being held out of Week 9. The tension though has apparently passed and Boldin and his ankle are ready to move forward. "I said what I had to say and I'm done with it," Boldin said on Wednesday. "For me, it's not even an issue. That was Sunday and I've moved on. My injury's fine. It's not even an injury. I'm feeling great. I can make every cut without hesitation, so I'm good."
November 9, 2009
Anquan Boldin (ankle) is upset after no one on the team was supposedly "man enough" to tell him he was not playing on Sunday in Chicago, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:His decision not to go was apparently not a collaborative one. It's easy to understand why this would upset a player, but it might have been the only way they could keep Boldin off the field. He has been playing hurt for weeks, and not been nearly as effective as usual. Hopefully the game off was a first step toward getting him 100 percent healthy.
November 8, 2009
Cardinals inactives: Brian St. Pierre (third QB), WR Anquan Boldin, S Rashad Johnson, TE Stephen Spach, TE Dominique Byrd, G Brandon Keith, T Herman Johnson and LB Gerald Hayes.

Our View:The biggest loss is star receiver Boldin. Steve Breaston will start alongside Larry Fitzgerald in his place.
November 8, 2009
Anquan Boldin is inactive for today's game at Chicago, according to Adam Schefter's (ESPN) twitter page.

Our View:Boldin tested his ailing ankle during pre-game warmups, but apparently was not good enough for him to play. Steve Breaston will serve as Larry Fitzgerald's wingman in his absence.
November 8, 2009
Anquan Boldin will test his ailing ankle in pre-game warmups at Chicago, according to Brad Biggs' (National Football Post) twitter page.

Our View:There is belief the star receiver will play, but the Cardinals are yet to give him the green light. Stay tuned for updates.
November 6, 2009
Anquan Boldin (ankle) returned to practice on Friday after sitting out on both Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:This throws a wrench in the theory that he will not play for sure this weekend. That being said, he was ineffective playing hurt last weekend, and you would likely be better off just benching him if you have any sort of an alternative.
November 5, 2009
Anquan Boldin did not practice again on Thursday, according to the Twitter page of NFL writer Adam Caplan. Boldin is expected to miss this week's game due to his ankle injury.

Our View:Boldin knows that his ankle isn't likely to be 100 percent all year, but he feels like taking a week off could make a big difference. We will continue to monitor his situation, but Boldin owners need to have another option ready to go this week.
November 4, 2009
The Arizona Republic reports that Anquan Boldin likely won't play in Week 9.

Our View:Boldin himself admitted that his bum ankle won't get any better unless he gets some significant rest. With the Cardinals having already used up their bye week, he won't get said rest unless he sits out. And better to have him do it sooner than later. He left in the third quarter of last Sunday's game and it was clearly evident that the ankle was bothering him and affecting his performance. He'll likely lobby to play this week, but don't expect coach Ken Whisenhunt to let that happen. Boldin owners will want to search the waiver wire for a temporary replacement.
November 2, 2009
Anquan Boldin could very well miss Week 9 after aggravating his ankle sprain in the Cardinals loss to the Panthers on Sunday, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:He left the game in the third quarter and did not return. For now, consider him doubtful for this weekend against the Bears, though be sure to check for updates.
November 1, 2009
Anquan Boldin exited the game against Carolina in the third quarter after appearing to aggravate his ankle injury.

Our View:Boldin entered the game nursing a high ankle sprain, and limped off the field. No additional information is currently available regarding the severity of the ailment.
October 30, 2009
Anquan Boldin was limited in practice by his high-ankle sprain for the third straight day on Friday, according to the team.

Our View:He is expected to play this Sunday, however. He played with the injury in Week 7 and still managed to reel in three balls for 75 yards. Even against the Panthers' number-one ranked pass defense, he's a decent play this weekend.
October 29, 2009
Anquan Boldin was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, according to the Cardinals' official website. He is dealing with a high-ankle sprain.

Our View:The star receiver is expected to play in Sunday's home game against Carolina. He has not scored a touchdown over his last three games, but managed to haul in three catches for 75 yards in a tough matchup against the Giants last weekend.
October 28, 2009
Anquan Boldin (ankle), who is expected to play this weekend, was limited in practice on Wednesday, according to the team.

Our View:Despite playing on his gimpy ankle, Boldin was still able to reel in three balls for 75 yards last Sunday against the Giants. He has a much more favorable match-up against the Panthers this weekend, and even if he is playing hurt, he will be a good fantasy option.
October 28, 2009
NFL.com is reporting that Cardinals' wide receiver Anquan Boldin is expected to play against the Panthers this weekend. Boldin caught three passes for 75 yards against the Giants on Sunday, and he did not suffer any setbacks with his injured ankle.

Our View:Boldin looked a little slow on Sunday night, but he didn't do any further damage to the ankle and should be good to go this week. He is expected to go through an increased practice lead this week as well, further indicating that his ankle is improving.
October 25, 2009
Anquan Boldin (ankle) caught three balls for 75 yards on Sunday night against the Giants.

Our View:Boldin did not appear to be at full speed but was still able to produce at least a decent number of yardage for his owners. Hopefully his ankle will continue to heal nicely, and he remains a near must-start as long as he's on the field.
October 25, 2009
Anquan Boldin (ankle) is listed as active for the Cardinals in their game against the Giants on Sunday night, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Temper your expectations for Boldin given that he's not at 100 percent, but you should still feel safe with him in your lineup and know that he'll at least be on the field.
October 24, 2009
ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that Cardinals' receiver Anquan Boldin revealed on Friday that his ankle injury is actually a high ankle sprain. This injury is more severe than the sprained ankle that has been reported.

Our View:Boldin was told originally that he could miss three-to-four weeks with the injury, but he was on the practice field yesterday and is hoping to be able to play tomorrow. If he does play, owners should still be cautious about putting him in your lineup, as he will obviously not be at 100 percent.
October 23, 2009
Anquan Boldin (ankle) returned to practice in a limited fashion on Friday, and is officially questionable for this Sunday night against the Giants, according to the team.

Our View:"I didn't think he'd move around as well as he did," were the words of coach Ken Whisenhunt. He has looked progressively better as the week has gone on, and he has to be considered likely to play at this point.
October 22, 2009
According to the East Valley Tribune, Cardinals' wide receiver Anquan Boldin did some side work with a trainer on Thursday. Boldin might be able to practice on Friday, as his ankle looked much improved today.

Our View:Boldin reportedly looked much better today, and it would be big for the Cards if he could go this week. We will know more tomorrow, so Boldin owners should check back in the coming days.
October 22, 2009
Anquan Boldin (ankle) missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday.

Our View:This does not bode well for his availability for the Cardinals' showdown with the Giants this weekend. Steve Breaston is starting to look like the better option.
October 21, 2009
According to Scout.com, Anquan Boldin (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Our View:The Cardinals won't know until later in the week if the talented wideout will be able to go, but he'll likely be held out of practice regardless. Boldin injured the ankle in Sunday's win over Seattle, but still played through it in the second half, albeit his time on the field was limited. If he is able to go, it could mean an upset for the Cardinals going against a banged up New York secondary. Stay tuned.
October 19, 2009
X-rays of Anquan Boldin's injured ankle revealed no broken bones on Monday, according to the team.

Our View:The team will monitor his progress as the week progresses. He seems likely to be a game-time decision for the Cardinals' showdown with the Giants next Sunday.
October 18, 2009
Anquan Boldin tweaked his sprained ankle during today's game at Seattle, according to the Cardinals' official website.

Our View:Boldin's return is probable.
October 11, 2009
Anquan Boldin led the Cardinals in receiving in Sunday's 28-21 home win over the Texans, as he caught seven passes for 81 yards.

Our View:The elite receiver could not score a touchdown, but fantasy owners should be pleased with his solid statline. He is averaging 82 receiving yards over his last two games.
September 27, 2009
Anquan Boldin caught six passes for 83 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 loss to the Colts.

Our View:Boldin has caught 14 passes over the last two games after he was limited and ineffective in the opener. He hasn't been making a lot of plays down the field, but Anquan remains a high-end fantasy wideout.
September 27, 2009
Anquan Boldin (hamstring) is active for the Week 3 tilt against the Colts. He was listed as probable.

Our View:We fully expected Boldin to play, but this note just confirms his status.
September 20, 2009
Anquan Boldin hauled in eight catches for 69 yards in Sunday's 31-17 win at Jacksonville.

Our View:Boldin is dealing with a hamstring ailment, but it did not hinder him in today's game. He did not score a touchdown, but fantasy owners should still be pleased with his performance, namely in PPR leagues.
September 20, 2009
Anquan Boldin is active for today's game at Jacksonville, according to Adam Schefter's twitter page.

Our View:This is good news, and the elite receiver should be penciled into fantasy lineups. He has been nursing a hamstring ailment.
September 18, 2009
NFL.com is reporting that Cardinals' receiver Anquan Boldin is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Boldin was limited in practice all week due to his hamstring injury.

Our View:Expect Boldin to play again this weekend, as the team has been decimated by injury at the receiver position. Early Doucet and Steve Breaston are also listed as questionable, so Boldin will likely tough it out and play.
September 17, 2009
Anquan Boldin (hamstring) was limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday, according to the team.

Our View:He will almost certainly play this Sunday, however. He was on the field for very few plays in Week 1, and even though the Cardinals are going up against Jacksonville's shaky pass-defense this weekend, he might not be the greatest play if remains limited on Friday. Still, Boldin at less than 100 percent is a lot better fantasy wise than many receivers who actually are completely healthy. Stay tuned.
September 16, 2009
After not practicing on Monday, Anquan Boldin (hamstring) was able to practice on Wednesday, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:He was very limited in their Week 1 loss to San Francisco, but says he has been able to do much more at practice this week, and feels better than he has in three weeks. He will almost certainly play against Jacksonville this weekend.
September 13, 2009
Anquan Boldin (hamstring) is active for the Week 1 game against San Francisco.

Our View:"Q" is one of the toughest receivers in the league, but could be a risky starter after missing practice Wednesday and being limited on Thursday and Friday.
September 11, 2009
Anquan Boldin (hamstring) was again limited in practice on Friday, and will be a game-time decision on Sunday, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin says his achy right hamstring is "improving every day," but that he didn't want to do anything in practice on Friday that might set it back. Guessing now, it sounds like he will play, but you will be very well-served by frequently checking his status on Sunday to make sure.
September 9, 2009
The Arizona Republic reports that Anquan Boldin (hamstring) stated that he will "definitely play" on Sunday against the 49ers.

Our View:Boldin attended the Diamondbacks game (donning a Dodgers hat) and told the FSN crew that he'd "definietly" play barring a setback with his hamstring injury. A little cryptic, no? Sounds like definitely means more like maybe, but Boldin is known for missing time during the week and getting into games over the weekend. Still, no word though on whether he practiced on Wednesday.
September 7, 2009
Anquan Boldin sat out the Cardinals' practice on Monday, according to the Arizona Republic. Boldin has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, and he missed the final two preseason game.

Our View:Boldin will be evaluated again later in the week, and we fully expect him to play this weekend. Look for an update on his status Wednesday, as that is the heaviest day of practice during the week for the Cards.
September 5, 2009
After missing time with a strained hamstring, Anquan Boldin is expected to return to practice next week, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:The injury was never anything serious, and the defending NFC champions were just being careful with their superstar receiver.
August 31, 2009
Anquan Boldin sat out Monday's practice while resting his strained hamstring, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin worked out rigorously on the side, and the elite receiver should be fine for Week 1 against the 49ers.
August 26, 2009
Anquan Boldin did not practice on Wednesday after straining his right hamstring on Tuesday, according to the Arizona Republic. Boldin has not been ruled out for Friday's preseason game.

Our View:It sounds like this was just a tweak for Q, so he should be fine. He probably won't play Friday unless he is at 100 percent, but he should be fine for Week 1 of the regular season. Fantasy owners should not be too concerned about this.
July 30, 2009
Anquan Boldin indicated that he is going to put his uncontrollable contract issues aside and just focus on football, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:The elite receiver also noted that he is leaving open the possibility of re-signing with Arizona. Boldin will resume his role as a No. 1 fantasy receiver if he is truly dedicated to the Cardinals for the 2009 campaign.
July 23, 2009
Anquan Boldin is yet to receive the long-term deal that he covets, but the Cardinals are hopeful that he will report for the start of training camp, according to NFL.com. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said, "I am optimistic that he will be there. I know for sure we are a much better football team with Anquan than we are without him."

Our View:When Boldin is on the field, he forms the best receiving tandem in the NFL with Larry Fitzgerald. A new deal for Boldin is said to be several weeks away, but it does not sound like he will be a distraction when training camp opens later this month.
July 23, 2009
According to the Arizona Republic, the Cardinals and Anquan Boldin are still several weeks away from talking about a contract extension.

Our View:GM Rod Graves typically waits until the season is well underway before starting any negotiations so he can size up what he has and what he'll need for the future. Boldin is only making $2.75 million and has legitimate frustration, but the Cards are currently focusing on signing their young players and hewill just have to wait.
July 13, 2009
Adam Caplan of Scout.com believes that the Ravens could pursue Anquan Boldin following the news that top receiver Derrick Mason has retired.

Our View:Boldin was on the Ravens' radar heading up to the NFL Draft in April. If Baltimore does not make a move for the elite Boldin, they should look to sign another receiver to fill their sizable void at the position.
June 19, 2009
Anquan Boldin and the Cardinals are reportedly talking again regarding a new contract, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:It is uncertain if progress has been made in negotiations, but the Cardinals do expect the elite receiver to report for training camp. As previously stated, Boldin is now represented by agent Tom Condon after firing Drew Rosenhaus for failing to gain ground in talks with Arizona.
June 9, 2009
The Arizona Republic is reporting that the Cardinals are about $2 million under the salary cap after the recent signing of Adrian Wilson. That number leaves very little money left to re-sign receiver Anquan Boldin.

Our View:The general consensus is that the team will wait until next season to extend Boldin, which probably isn't making him very happy right now. The Cards just don't have the money, but the team is working on signing Karlos Dansby, which would free up some cap space. If they don't get that done it is unlikely Boldin will get the money he wants this season.
June 1, 2009
Anquan Boldin has hired Tom Condon as his new agent after firing Drew Rosenhaus, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Cardinals' GM Rod Graves noted that he is looking forward to meeting with Condon at some point this month to discuss a new deal for Boldin. Negotiations did not go well with Rosenhaus as Boldin's rep.
May 28, 2009
Agent Drew Rosenhaus is hopeful that he will retain Anquan Boldin as a client after the star receiver decided to fire him, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Rosenhaus said, "I am still hopeful that we can work things out."

Our View:There is belief that Boldin will replace Rosenhaus with agent Tom Condon. As for now, nothing has changed regarding a new deal for Boldin with the Cardinals.
May 27, 2009
According to the Arizona Republic, Anquan Boldin has yet to report to any of the team's voluntary workouts.

Our View:Looks like Boldin isn't backing down. He fired his agent, which many people though was because he was getting close to giving in to the Cardinals, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The Cardinals coaching staff doesn't seem to be too concerned with his absence though.
May 26, 2009
Anquan Boldin intends to fire agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to ESPN. Rosenhaus said, "Regarding Anquan Boldin, let me say that I have great respect for him. I am hopeful we can work this out and he can return to the Rosenhaus Sports family in the near future. We are proud to continue to represent his brother, D.J. Boldin."

Our View:Boldin is displeased with Rosenhaus' slow attempts to generate a trade or new deal with the Cardinals. Rosenhaus represents more NFL players than any other agent. It was not disclosed who Boldin will replace Rosenhaus with as his rep.
May 22, 2009
Kurt Warner said on Dan Patrick's radio show that he fully expects Anquan Boldin to remain with the team this season. There also have been rumors that he is nearing a contract extension with the Cardinals.

Our View:Boldin's obviously not pleased with his deal, and that has fueled trade rumors throughout the offseason. At this point, it seems that it is a strong likelihood that he lines up opposite Larry Fitzgerald once again this season.
May 21, 2009
Anquan Boldin is believed to be closer to a new deal with the Cardinals, according to NFL.com. Team president Michael Bidwell said, "We have worked hard at getting Anquan Boldin extended and we will continue to do those things."

Our View:Agent Drew Rosenhaus added that even though Boldin is still open to a trade, a deal to keep him in Arizona could still be reached. As previously stated, Rosenhaus proposed a deal to the club that averages less than $10MM per year.
May 16, 2009
According to the Arizona Republic, the Eagles offered corner back Sheldon Brown and a third round pick for wide receiver Anquan Boldin during the NFL draft. The Cardinals rejected the deal.

Our View:This package wasn't considered to be very valuable and the Cards wanted no part of it. The Bears offered a second round pick, which at this point seems better than the Eagles' offer, but Arizona is looking for more in return.
May 15, 2009
Anquan Boldin's agent (Drew Rosenhaus) made a contract proposal to the Cardinals, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:It is uncertain how interested the Cardinals are in entering negotiations right now. Boldin is not asking for $10MM per year as was speculated, and Rosenhaus stated that the proposal is less.
May 13, 2009
Coach Andy Reid revealed that the Eagles inquired about trading for Cardinals' receiver Anquan Boldin, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:The elite receiver would have been a great upgrade for the Eagles' aerial attack, but the Cardinals' asking price of a first-round, a third-round, and a fifth-round draft pick was too high. The Eagles were able to upgrade at the position with Jeremy Maclin (Missouri) in the draft. The Cardinals remain at an impasse with Boldin.
May 8, 2009
Agent Drew Rosenhaus still expects client Anquan Boldin to be traded by Arizona, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Rosenhaus said, "I still believe Boldin will be traded before training camp. I hope to work together with the Cardinals to resolve this situation by then."

Our View:Rosenhaus did not name any potential suitors for the elite receiver. Boldin remains displeased with his contract status with the Cardinals.
May 1, 2009
Anquan Boldin is slated for an MRI on his hamstring, according to Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 Radio in Phoenix.

Our View:The elite receiver will not be participating in minicamp, and further details regarding his hamstring are yet to be revealed.
May 1, 2009
Anquan Boldin reported to the Cardinals for a physical, according to their official team website.

Our View:It appears that Boldin will attend the mandatory minicamp, but if he actually practices remains to be seen. He still covets a new contract.
May 1, 2009
The Cardinals signed nine rookie free agents, according to the Arizona Republic. The signees were: Wide receiver Justin Brown (Hampton), linebacker Chase Bullock (Maryland), cornerback Tony Davis (Penn State), cornerback Jameel Dowling (Hawaii), guard/tackle Khalil El-Amin (Cincinnati), kick returner and cornerback Michael Ray Garvin (FSU), wide receiver Shane Morales (Oregon State), tackle Brandon Pearce (Memphis) and linebacker Reggie Walker (Kansas State).

Our View:Walker is a hard-hitting linebacker with good awareness to drop back into coverage. He can play inside or outside, and has the best shot to make the club among the aforementioned rookies.
April 28, 2009
According to the Arizona Republic, it is unlikely that the Cardinals would be willing to extend Anquan Boldin's contract this season. Boldin has two years left on his deal, and the Cardinals are questioning his worth after the lack of interest in him at the draft.

Our View:Boldin will not be happy unless he gets out of Arizona, but for now it looks like the Cardinals will be retaining his services. It will be interesting to see how this offseason affects Boldin's production in the upcoming season.
April 26, 2009
Bears general manager Jerry Angelo admits that the club did explore the option of trading for wide receiver Anquan Boldin. "We did have conversations with Arizona," Angelo informs the Chicago Sun-Times. "Nothing was able to get resolved. But I had (pro personnel director Bobby DePaul) explore some things. We talked. But again, it just didn't come together." The Bears entered day one with only one draft pick (No. 49), and they traded out of that spot.

Our View:The Bears didn't seem a likely partner after tossing so many picks to the Broncos for Jay Cutler, and it's no too surprising that they weren't able to get anything done.
April 25, 2009
The Eagles foray into the Anquan Boldin sweepstakes reportedly was no better than a third round draft pick, according to Pro Football Talk.

Our View:There had been reports of a second and third round pick being offered, but this report rebuffs that idea. It still seems rather unlikely that anything will happen this weekend, that is unless the Cardinals allow Bodlin's representatives to negotiate with whichever team wants to acquire him.
April 24, 2009
The next episode in the Anquan Boldin saga comes from Sal Paolantonio while on ESPN News. He has named the Eagles and the Ravens as the top suitors pursuing the Cardinals' receiver.

Our View:The Jets and the Giants have appeared to have fallen off and Sal filed to even mention the Titans, so it appears to be a two horse race. The Eagles have allegedly already made an offer involving a 2010 second-round pick, a 2009 third-round pick and former first-rounder Winston Justice.
April 24, 2009
Updating a previous report, The Arizona Cardinals are denying that they dropped their asking price for Anquan Boldin or that there ever even was an asking price to begin with, according to the Arizona Republic. The team has flat out denied the report that was recently released by ESPN.

Our View:According to GM Rod Graves, the ESPN report that stated Arizona was looking for first and third round picks was completely false. "None of that is true," Graves said. "We've never said what we were looking for. All we've said is that we're willing to listen and certainly would consider something of commensurate value." Drama in the desert.
April 24, 2009
The Cardinals lowered their asking price, but noted that they are unlikely to trade Anquan Boldin, according to the Arizona Republic. GM Rod Graves said, "Our priority has always been to extend Anquan at some point and we felt before doing so we had to at least explore opportunities at trade might present. We have done that and the process is still not over, but it looks as if him staying with us and at least the possibility of an extension seems more of a reality than a trade. We will not trade him unless it is for commensurate value."

Our View:The Cardinals only received one trade proposal for Boldin so far, and Graves remains in touch with his agent (Drew Rosenhaus). The club knows that losing Boldin would hinder their chances of returning to the Super Bowl, and want to be fairly compensated to give him up in a trade.
April 24, 2009
The Cardinals have lowered their trade demands for elite receiver Anquan Boldin to a second-round draft pick and other considerations, according to ESPN.

Our View:Arizona is talking to at least three clubs that are interested. The Jets, Giants and Eagles are interested following the reduced demands.
April 23, 2009
According to the Nashville Tennessean, the Titans have contacted the Cardinals about the availability of top flight wide receiver Anquan Boldin.

Our View:The Titans could desperately use a top wide receiver, but they aren't willing to give up the first and third round picks that the Cardinals are asking for. If no one bites, the price will eventually come down and the Titans could be a realistic landing spot for him.
April 21, 2009
The Arizona Republic reports that all is quiet on the Anquan Boldin front for now, but Cardinals GM Rod Graves indicated that anything could happen between now and draft day. While teams have been in contact with the Cardinals, no offers have been made.

Our View:At the very least, the Cardinals appear willing to listen, but the asking price will be steep. Boldin has 11 touchdowns in 12 games last season.
April 21, 2009
Larry Fitzgerald believes that teammate Anquan Boldin wants to stay in Arizona, according to KTAR.com. Fitzgerald said, "I do not think he wants to leave, I just think he wants to be compensated according to what he has done on the football field and that is understandable. I do not care what work is; I do not care if you are a school teacher, I do not care if you are a journalist, I do not care if you are a broadcaster – if you are the best at what you do, you want to be compensated accordingly."

Our View:Fitzgerald also feels that Boldin and the Cardinals could still come to an agreement, and the two sides could continue to move forward.
April 20, 2009
The Ravens are not expected to meet Arizona's asking price of a first- and third-round pick in exchange for Anquan Boldin, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:Baltimore would apparently be very interested if the Cardinals would accept either a first- or second-round pick to go along with a player currently on their roster but do not seem willing to part with two early-round picks. It remains to be seen whether or not the Cardinals would decrease their asking price.
April 20, 2009
The Eagles are still not ruling out making a move for Cardinals' receiver Anquan Boldin after acquiring offensive tackle Jason Peters from Buffalo, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Eagles' president Joe Banner said, "We are always looking for players that we think can make us better. I think we have proven many times that we would be willing to do what it takes, whether it be a trade or do something with somebody's contract in order to get them here."

Our View:Boldin would provide the Eagles with the true No. 1 receiver that they covet, and speed demon DeSean Jackson would be a strong complement. If the Eagles do not deal for Boldin, they could add a No. 2 running back with pick No. 21, potentially Knowshon Moreno (Georgia).
April 19, 2009
There are apparently concerns within NFL organizations around the league that Anquan Boldin, whom the Cardinals have said is on the market for a first and third round pick, may have chronic hip problems that could potentially end up shortening his career, according to ProFootballTalk.

Our View:Boldin certainly has not been a bastion of health throughout his career, playing in all 16 regular season games just twice in his six years in the league. There's no questioning the wideout's elite talent, though at 28 years of age, there appear to be concerns that he may only have two or three years of high-end production left to give.
April 17, 2009
The Star Tribune does not expect the Vikings to make a move for Anquan Boldin.

Our View:The Vikings have a need at receiver and were unable to reel in T.J. Houshmandzadeh, but apparently do not want to give up a first and third round pick to acquire Boldin, when they will be in position to add one of the top-rated receivers in the draft with pick No. 22. The Vikings are also not willing to commit $8MM to $9MM per year on Boldin.

The Ravens are among the teams interested in Anquan Boldin, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:It is believed to take a first and a third round pick to acquire Boldin from the Cardinals, as well as a financial commitment of around $8MM to $9MM per year. The Ravens have a need at receiver, and adding the elite Boldin would boost quarterback Joe Flacco's fantasy stock.
April 16, 2009
NFL.com is reporting that Anquan Boldin would like to be traded to either the Kansas City Chiefs or to a team in the NFC East.

Our View:Boldin just wants to get the situation resolved, but any of the destinations he mentioned would be a good fit for him. He could be reunited with former Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley in Kansas City and work with new Quarterback Matt Cassel, or he could join Donovan McNabb or Eli Manning with the Eagles or Giants respectively.
April 16, 2009
According to ESPN.com, the asking price for Anquan Boldin is a first-round and a third-round pick.

Our View:Boldin is a number one receiver, and although the price is steep there will be plenty of teams in the mix. It is believed that the Giants, Eagles, and Jets are all interested. The Eagles figure to be the front-runner since they have 12 picks, including two first rounders.
April 15, 2009
Anquan Boldin's name is being tossed around in trade talks again, according to azcardinals.com. The Cardinals have stated that they are willing to entertain trade offers for the talented wide receiver.

Our View:The Cardinals would obviously like to retain Boldin, but don't want to be caught sitting on their hands if an agreement can't be reached. If he does end up packing his bags the deal would likely happen on or before draft day. For now though, it just sounds like the Cardinals want to explore all their options.
April 14, 2009
Anquan Boldin met with Cardinals' GM Rod Graves last week, but there was no progress made regarding a new contract or him staying in Arizona, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:If Boldin is dealt, it would likely happen before or during the NFL Draft. Boldin previouly commented that he would like to play for Miami.
April 2, 2009
Anquan Boldin told ESPN Radio 760 that he would "love to" play for the Dolphins, according to The Miami Herald.

Our View:Boldin has gone back and forth a bit this off-season with his desires, but he continues to push for the Cardinals to show him the money or move him to another team. Given that a team would likely have to pony up resources to make a deal happen, and then lavish the wideout with a huge deal to make him happy, odds of a blockbuster move before the Draft seem somewhat thin at the moment.
March 31, 2009
Anquan Boldin is not expected to attend workouts with the Cardinals, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:He covets a new contract, and will likely stay away from workouts until he gets one. The Cardinals want the elite receiver to remain with the club.
March 25, 2009
NFL.com reports that Coach Ken Whisenhunt expects Anquan Boldin to remain with the Cardinals. They are currently in talks of a contract extension.

Our View:Both sides have eased up a bit and the tension seems to have been lifted. At least temporarily. Right now it looks as if they'll meet in the middle somewhere and Boldin wil remain in Arizona. That's good news for fantasy owners as he clicked exceptionally well with Kurt Warner, who just signed a deal earlier this year to remain a Cardinal.
March 23, 2009
Coach Ken Whisenhunt reiterated that the Cardinals still want to re-sign Anquan Boldin, according to Sports Illustrated.

Our View:The Cardinals have been shopping Boldin previously in the off-season, and is remains to be seen if Boldin will drop his $10MM per season price tag.
March 14, 2009
The Giants are reportedly not interested in Anquan Boldin, according to the Star-Ledger.

Our View:The Cardinals have been shopping Boldin, and it is believed that the Eagles are interested. The Giants are currently awaiting Plaxico Burress' future. Boldin is not pleased with his contract with the Cardinals, which has two years left.
March 12, 2009
Anquan Boldin is reportedly on the Cardinals' trading block, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:Boldin is believed to covet $9MM per season. The club is shopping him to potential suitors, but none were disclosed.
March 11, 2009
Peter King at SI.com believes that Anquan Boldin will no longer be a Cardinal come July. The Eagles and Giants are expected to be interested and King thinks the Eagles are a "perfect fit."

Our View:Boldin will most likely be a fantasy monster wherever he lands, but his position could fluctuate a bit depending on who his quarterback is at the beginning of the season.
March 8, 2009
Contract talks between wide receiver Anquan Boldin and the Arizona Cardinals have yet to begin because, as GM Rod Graves put it, the team has more pressing matters to address, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin has not taken much time to speak out on the topic of his contract negotiations, or lack thereof, except to say that he is letting his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, handle the talks.
February 24, 2009
Anquan Boldin and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not give the Cardinals a deadline for extending him a contract offer, even though that is what Boldin had said in a previous radio interview, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Boldin, after taking a stance saying he would not accept a long-term contract offer from the Cardinals, recently changed that. He wants either a new contract or to be traded.
February 19, 2009
NFL.com reports that wide receiver Anquan Boldin is receptive to the idea of negotiating a long-term deal with the Cardinals. This latest development is a complete 360 from Boldin's earlier stance, which included his desire to leave Arizona.

Our View:General manager Rod Graves and Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, met Thursday at the scouting combine in Indianapolis. Boldin reportedly will seek a trade if a long-term deal with the Cardinals cannot be reached.
February 19, 2009
Anquan Boldin indicated that he would be willing to return to the Cardinals for the right price, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:The Cardinals could be hard-pressed to offer the elite receiver a favorable deal, as they need to re-sign Kurt Warner and Karlos Dansby, and Adrian Wilson also covets a raise.
February 17, 2009
Anquan Boldin is unlikely to follow former Cardinals' offensive coordinator Todd Haley to the Chiefs, according to the Sporting News.

Our View:Boldin would like to leave Arizona, but the rebuilding Chiefs cannot afford to surrender high draft picks to the Cardinals, and will have a shot to address the position in the draft with Michael Crabtree likely to be available when they pick third overall.
February 12, 2009
John Clayton of ESPN indicated that Anquan Boldin could land in the NFC East, with the Eagles and Giants expected to fight to acquire his services.

Our View:The Eagles are believed to have the upper-hand over the Giants in a potential bidding war. The compensation is expected to be a first and third-round draft pick, and the Eagles have two first-rounders (Nos. 21, 28). New York has the 29th overall pick. Boldin's fantasy value would likely remain strong if he ends up with the pass-happy Eagles, who lack a true No. 1 receiver.
February 11, 2009
The Arizona Cardinals will not be trading receiver Anquan Boldin during the offseason, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:The team has him under contract for two more years, though they are apparently willing to give him a new contract. However, Boldin has recently made it clear he wants out of Arizona instead of a new contract from the team.
February 10, 2009
Anquan Boldin ordered his agent to reject any contract offers from the Cardinals, according to their official team website.

Our View:It remains clear that Boldin wants to leave Arizona, especially with offensive coordinator Todd Haley gone and Kurt Warner's return uncertain.
February 8, 2009
There is a rumor circulating that the Cardinals asked the 49ers for Mike Martz's cellphone number, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Our View:If true, it would make sense for the Cardinals to inquire about Martz as they need to replace Todd Haley at offensive coordinator and run a pass-oriented offense, which is Martz's specialty. He would be reunited with Kurt Warner as well, assuming he re-signs.
February 6, 2009
Anquan Boldin has been at odds regarding a new deal and told Rachel Nichols of ESPN that he is unlikely to return to Arizona. He said his chances of re-signing with the club are "very slim."

Our View:Boldin's relationship with the Cardinals has gone downhill, and it seems best for both sides if the elite receiver leaves.
February 6, 2009
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Arizona offensive coordinator Todd Haley has accepted an offer to become the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. All that's left is for the two sides to agree on the terms of the deal.

Our View:Should Haley's deal with the Chiefs become finalized, we'll find out in the coming months whether his departure will have an impact on Arizona's impending free-agents, most notably quarterback Kurt Warner and receiver Anquan Boldin, both of whom admitted to having utmost respect for Haley despite frequent squabbles with the offensive coordinator.
February 1, 2009
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin showed no pronounced effects of the hamstring that hampered him much of the playoffs Sunday in Arizona's 27-23 defeat in Super Bowl XLIII. In all, Boldin caught eight balls for 84 yards, including a 45-yard reception that led to the Cardinals' first score of the game.

Our View:All things considered, between the ailing hamstring and the well-publicized spat with offensive coordinator Todd Haley, Boldin performed admirably this postseason. He finished the playoffs with 14 catches for 190 yards and one touchdown.
January 28, 2009
According to the team's official website, Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin (hamstring) participated fully in Wednesday's practice and showed no ill effects of his injury. "He looked good today and he also looked good late last week," head coach Ken Whisenhunt said.

Our View:Boldin will need be at or near 100 percent on Sunday if the Cardinals hope to give quarterback Kurt Warner enough viable options in the passing game to crack Pittsburgh's top-ranked defense.
January 28, 2009
The Baltimore Sun suggests the Ravens will likely target Anquan Boldin if the Cardinals make him available in the off-season.

Our View:The elite receiver's presence would boost the fantasy stock of quarterback Joe Flacco and probably Mark Clayton, but Boldin would no longer have the luxury of fellow-stud Larry Fitzgerald as his wingman, and would be joining a run-oriented offense.
January 27, 2009
Larry Fitzgerald is believed to be willing to restructure his contract in a bid to keep Anquan Boldin in Arizona, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Boldin is unhappy with his contract, but there is no denying that he and Fitzgerald form the best receiving duo in the NFC, which is a key reason the Cardinals are making their first trip to the Super Bowl this Sunday.
January 26, 2009
Anquan Boldin is flattered by Bears' fans longing for a trade for the wide receiver, according to the Chicago Tribune. Boldin said earlier this season that this would be his last year with the Cardinals, as he's unhappy with his contract. He still has two years remaining in his current deal.

Our View:The Bears are in desperate need of a star on offense, but a receiver won't help much until they have a decent quarterback to throw to him.
January 23, 2009
Anquan Boldin is plenty tired of hearing about his spat with offensive coordinator Todd Haley during the Cardinals' NFC Championship win. In fact, the talented wideout has been asked so many questions about the incident the past five days, he's beginning to find the whole thing funny, according to the Arizona Republic. "For me, it's hilarious," Boldin said. "I mean, I don't want to sit here and dwell on it because it's in the past, but that's something that goes on every week in the NFL, whether people know it or not."

Our View:Both Haley and head coach Ken Whisenhunt have agreed with Boldin, saying similar types of incidents happen every Sunday in the heat of the moment. That being said, it will still be interesting to what extent Haley includes Boldin in the gameplan for Super Bowl XLIII. Arizona really can ill afford to have Boldin not play a key role in Tampa, as he is the one guy who can truly take some focus off of Larry Fitzgerald against the Pittsburgh defense.
January 23, 2009
Anquan Boldin fully practiced for the second straight day Thursday, according to SLAM Sports.

Our View:Boldin looks to be recovered from his strained hamstring and should be good to go for Super Bowl XLIII next weekend.
January 22, 2009
Anquan Boldin commented on his sideline argument with offensive coordinator Tom Haley in the NFC Championship, according to the Arizona Republic. Boldin said, "For me, it's hilarious. I mean, I don't want to sit here and dwell on it because it's in the past, but that's something that goes on every week in the NFL, whether people know it or not. Every week somebody on the sideline gets in an argument. It's in the heat of the moment. It's part of football. And once it's done, it's dead on both sides. It's not something I want to dwell on. It's not something I'll let distract this team."

Our View:There is apparently no bad blood between Boldin and Haley, and the elite receiver looks to be good to go for Super Bowl XLIII against Pittsburgh following his recovery from a strained hamstring.
January 22, 2009
Anquan Boldin fully practiced Wednesday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He has been dealing with a strained hamstring.

Our View:The elite receiver looks to be fine for Super Bowl XLIII against Pittsburgh, and hopefully offensive coordinator Tom Haley will keep him busy in the passing game to prevent another sideline argument.
January 20, 2009
Anquan Boldin argued with offensive coordinator Todd Haley in the NFC Championship against the Eagles because he was not pleased with his limited role, according to ESPN. Boldin wanted to know why Haley was running several plays with one receiver and said, "Like any competitor I wanted to know why. They said I was not in position to run like they wanted me to. I felt fine the entire game."

Our View:Boldin, who was recovering from a strained hamstring, added that he and Haley do not have a problem. This issue should be smoothed over by Super Bowl XLIII on February 1.
January 19, 2009
The Arizona Republic reports that the spat between Cardinals offensive coordinator Todd Haley and wide receiver Anquan Boldin that took place in the second half of Sunday's game has been downplayed by head coach Ken Whisenhunt, who believes the argument was simply a product of the heat of the moment.

Our View:Boldin was reportedly upset with Haley because the star receiver felt he was not getting the ball enough in the Cardinals' 32-25 win over Philadelphia. Boldin caught four passes for 34 yards Sunday and has 106 yards in the playoffs while playing in two of Arizona's three postseason games.
January 18, 2009
Anquan Boldin was a gamer on Sunday but he was unable to shake free of Eagles defenders as he caught just four passes for 34 yards in his return to action from a sore hamstring.

Our View:Boldin battled injuries all season but still had 89 receptions and 11 touchdowns during the regular season. He will now get some needed R and R as the team prepares to battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
January 18, 2009
Fox reports that Anquan Boldin is in the starting lineup for the Cardinals. He missed last week's game against the Panthers has been limited in practice this past week due to a hamstring issue.

January 17, 2009
The Arizona Republic reports that the extent to which receiver Anquan Boldin plays Sunday will depend largely upon his pregame workout.

Our View:Like the rest of the Cardinals' team, Boldin should have plenty of motivation to go full bore against Philly, and not just because a win would mean a trip to the franchise's first-ever Super Bowl. In Arizona's 48-20 blowout loss to the Eagles on Thanksgiving Day, Boldin was held to his third-lowest yardage total of the season. Overall, he caught five balls for 63 yards in the loss.
January 15, 2009
The East Valley Tribune reports that the Cardinals hope to sign wide receiver Anquan Boldin to an extension this offseason.

Our View:Boldin will probably want similar money to that of teammate Larry Fitzgerald ($10 million per season), so the Cardinals won't keep him for cheap. They also have the task of potentially re-signing Kurt Warner, Karlos Dansby, Adrian Wilson and Antonio Smith this offseason.
January 15, 2009

January 11, 2009
Anquan Boldin, who missed Saturday's win over Carolina due to a sore hamstring, hopes to play in the NFC Championship game next week, according to the Sports Ticker.

January 10, 2009
Cardinals inactives: CB Eric Green, LB Victor Hobson, T Elliot Vallejo, T Brandon Keith, DT Alan Branch, WR Anquan Boldin, TE Ben Patrick, Brian St. Pierre (third QB).

Our View:The biggest news is obviously that Boldin will not play, after as recent as yesterday it was thought that he would just be limited. The Panthers can now focus more defensive attention to Larry Fitzgerald.
January 9, 2009
NFL.com reports that team sources expect Anquan Boldin (hamstring) to be active for Saturday's game against the Panthers despite being listed as questionable on the injury report.

Our View:Boldin has solidified himself as one of the best receivers in the league and he should be good for a few receptions against Carolina. He has played through pain more than once, so this news should not come as a shock, especially given the gravity of this game.
January 9, 2009
Anquan Boldin practiced on a limited basis Friday and is questionable for Saturday's divisional playoff game at Carolina, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:The elite receiver will test his strained hamstring a few hours before the game and determine at that time if he can play.
January 8, 2009
Cardinals' coach Ken Whisenhunt noted that Anquan Boldin (strained hamstring) could be active on a limited basis for Saturday's divisional playoff game at Carolina, according to the Arizona Republic.

I told him the today when I saw him in the training room, I was laughing, I said, ‘Man, that’s the fastest I’ve ever seen you run.’ In my five years being here that’s the fastest I’ve ever seen him run. I get the opportunity to check him every Wednesday in practice and he tries to run the seam route on me every time and he don’t run that fast, you know what I’m saying? He said he’s going to be fine and he’s going to be ready to go."

Our View:This is encouraging news, but the Cardinals are yet to officially update the elite receiver's status for Saturday.
January 5, 2009
Anquan Boldin's status for Saturday's divisional playoff game at Carolina is unclear as of now due to his strained hamstring, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:The club managed to pull out a win against the Falcons last weekend while Boldin missed the second half after sustaining the injury on a 71-yard touchdown. Steve Breaston, who topped 1,000 yards this season, would replace Boldin in the starting lineup opposite Larry Fitzgerald if unable to go.
