Cardinals' GM Rod Graves is in contact with Anquan Boldin's agent (Drew Rosenhaus) regarding a new deal, according to the Arizona Republic. Graves would like to get a deal done, but acknowledged that a more realistic "window" is some time this fall. Graves wants to make sure the Cardinals have the cap space to deal with possible injuries in training camp and the start of the season.

Our View:Cardinals' officials remain confident that Boldin will report to camp on time and not pay the penalty in fines of $14,000 a day. Boldin is working under a contract that pays him an average of about $4 million a year.

Anquan Boldin isn't sure if he'll show up for training camp as he attempts to force the Cardinals to give him a new contract. "I honestly can’t say at this point," he informs the team's official web site. The Cardinals have publicly stated that they plan to offer a new deal for Boldin. The franchise signed to a four-year, $40 million deal this spring.

Our View:At this point, we don't expect Boldin to take his issues to another level and threaten a long-term holdout that lasts into the regular season. He's established enough that a little missed time in camp wouldn't hurt his value very much.

The Arizona Cardinals have been battling to appease wideout Anquan Boldin with hopes of getting him on the field for off-season workouts, but the Pro Bowl receiver failed to show for the team's voluntary organized team activities today, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:The workouts are considered voluntary but the hope is to see veteran stars on hand to mentor the incoming young prospects. Boldin has been miffed since fellow receiver Larry Fitzgerald was granted a sizable new contract and now is seeking to renegotiate a deal of his own. General manager Rod Graves has told reporters Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has been pushing the Cardinals to trade his client, but Boldin has expressed a desire to stay in Arizona in his own discussions with the press.

We have sent forward several reports on the status of Arizona WR Anquan Boldin , reportedly involved in a requested contract renegotiation that had led the talented wideout to request a trade to a new home. Boldin took time at the team's recent mini-camp sessions to approach the topic with reporters, claiming he never asked to be traded, according to AZCentral.com.

Our View:"I went to sleep one night, woke up the next morning and was disgruntled. I wanted out of Arizona and all this stuff," said Boldin, followed by laughs. "And I hadn't even talked to anybody. It was funny to see the reports going around, especially around the draft time." Boldin and agent Drew Rosenhaus were rumored to have asked for a trade as talks of a contract extension had stalled. Fellow WR Larry Fitzgerald got a sizable new contract, making nearly double what Boldin is paid. Boldin's current contract runs through 2010, and reports that stake claim to the fact he has missed early season workouts due to this mess are incorrect as Boldin reports he has a "tweeked" hamstring.

The Arizona Cardinals arrived at the team's facility to prepare for the team's first mandatory minicamp, and wide receiver Anquan Boldin was in attendance, according to the Arizona Republic. There has been speculation that Boldin wouldn’t attend due to contract issues, but the team leader and consummate professional was in the house.
