March 12, 2010 Larry Johnson has agreed to a three-year deal with the Redskins, according to Adam Schefter's (ESPN) Our View:Johnson fared well during limited action in Cincinnati last season, and should push Clinton Portis for playing time in 2010. The Redskins really need to improve their shoddy offensive line for either back to be successful though. |

March 10, 2010 Updating an earlier report, Larry Johnson is also scheduled to meet with the Raiders this week in addition to his meeting with the Redskins, according to Our View:On one hand, the Raiders already have a bruising back in Michael Bush to complement Darren McFadden, but on the other, Al Davis has always shown a penchant for signing former stars with character issues. Not to get too personal here, but LJ seems like the type of player that would not care about whether or not he's playing for a contender who would simply take the highest contract he can get, and thus the Raiders could be a fit. |

March 10, 2010 Larry Johnson is scheduled to meet with the Redskins tomorrow, according to ESPN's Our View:While LJ is no longer starting material, he did prove in last season's stint with the Bengals that he's still capable of being effective in a platoon role. Washington is in need of a backup for Clinton Portis, and while you'd think that they'd look for someone a bit younger than Johnson, we'll have to wait and see how the visit goes. |

January 26, 2010 Larry Johnson is not expected to be back with the Bengals in 2010, according to the Our View:The Bengals are set at running back with the much younger Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott. In 132 carries with the Chiefs last season, Johnson averaged a woeful 2.9 yards. However, in 46 carries with the Bengals, he averaged a much better 4.4. That fact could prolong his fading career for one more season. |

January 9, 2010 Wild Card inactives: QB Jordan Palmer (3rd), RB Larry Johnson, WR Jerome Simpson, FB Fui Vakapuna, S Tom Nelson, C Jonathan Luigs, DT Orien Harris and TE Darius Hill. Our View:It looks like LJ's knee issues were worse than we thought. In his absence, Bernard Scott should be the exclusive backup to Cedric Benson. No real other surprises here, though fans of "Hard Knocks" would have loved to see Fui Vakapuna and Tom Nelson in playoff action. |
