David Garrard was pulled from Sunday's game early in the third quarter in favor of Quinn Gray. Garrard had just thrown an interception that was returned to the goal line.

David Garrard was able to practice Thursday despite his sore hamstring and should be fine for Sunday's game at Kansas City. He's dealing with a sore hamstring.

David Garrard was efficient in Monday's win over the Giants, although he didn't factor in any touchdowns. Garrard completed 19-of-32 passes for 249 yards, he ran nine times for 31 yards, and most importantly he didn't turn the ball over. The Jaguars travel to Buffalo next week.

David Garrard may have blown his chance to remain the starting quarterback for the Jaguars by throwing four interceptions in the team's 13-10 loss to the Texans on Sunday. Garrard completed just 15-of-34 passes for 224 yards with no touchdowns, adding 44 yards on four carries.

Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio said Monday that David Garrard will start again in Week 10. Garrard is 2-0 as a starter this season and 6-1 in seven starts over the last two years. Byron Leftwich is almost certainly healthy enough play, especially given his track record for toughness.

While filling in for Byron Leftwich on Sunday, David Garrard completed 12-of-22 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns against the Titans. Garrard also carried twice for 14 yards. Coach Jack Del Rio has indicated that Garrard will move back into a backup role once Leftwich fully recovers from his ankle injury.

David Garrard will start again this week in place of Byron Leftwich, according to ESPN.com. At this point, it's uncertain if coach Jack Del Rio simply thinks that Leftwich's ankle isn't healthy enough for him to play, or if this is a more permanent switch.

David Garrard wasn't very effective in his first start in place of Byron Leftwich, but he did lead the Jags to a road win over the Eagles. Garrard completed 10-of-17 passes for 87 yards and added 36 yards on eight carries.

The Jaguars have announced that David Garrard will start on Sunday in place of Byron Leftwich, who is out with a sprained ankle, according to ESPN.com. Garrard could have some value this week against an Eagles pass defense that ranks 21st in the league.

David Garrard took the first-team snaps at Thursday's practice while Byron Leftwich sat out, the Florida Times-Union reports. Leftwich was originally supposed to be splitting snaps with Garrard but he wound up watching the workout after going through team stretching drills. Leftwich (ankle) is officially listed as questionable.

David Garrard took the first-team snaps at Friday's practice and may be needed to start Sunday at Houston, the Jaguars official site reports. Normal starter Byron Leftwich has an ankle injury and didn't work Friday; the team will have an MRI done later in the day. Garrard was effective in a start against Houston last year, throwing for 292 yards and a touchdown.
