Arfat Fadel, the man arrested and charged with kidnapping, beating, and robbing Oakland receiver Javon Walker , was held on Friday and bail was set at $86,000, according to the Associated Press. Public defender Shane Emerick has told reporters his client is likely to remain in jail.Justice of the Peace Tony Abbatangelo set bail at $73,000 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for July 16 on four felony charges: first-degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, and battery causing substantial bodily harm. A kidnapping conviction carries a sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole.

Our View:It carries little-to-no influence on Walker's fantasy value, though it continues to keep the drama surrounding this embattled target in the headlines. The Raiders are counting on getting huge yardage contributions from Walker to make the offense work this season. If this continues to affect his mentality towards his life on the football field, then it becomes rather difficult to suggest the wideout is worthy of wager.

Javon Walker suffered a fractured jaw, fractured orbital bone and concussion, according to a police report obtained by Fox 5 Vegas.

Our View:Walker is supposed to be ready for training camp with Oakland, and these injuries don't seem to be overly serious, but it is something to keep an eye on. Taking a helmet-to-helmet hit with a fractured jaw is probably not a pleasant thing.

In the continued story surrounding the assault of Oakland recevier Javon Walker , authorities are now reporting that Walker was in fact duped by Arfat Fadel, the man arrested today in connection with the crime, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:The police believe Fadel targeted Walker for this crime. Fadal and an associate were seen in some of the crowded nightclubs where Walker was shown on surveillance videotapes partying from about 9 p.m. June 15, until shortly before he was found unconscious at 7:19 a.m. the next morning about a block east of the Las Vegas Strip. The police note footage showing Walker entering Fadal's vehicle without force, but the authorities have yet to report why Walker made the decision and are suggesting he may have been "duped" into believing he was safe.

Las Vegas police said they have made an arrest in the robbery and beating case involving Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker, according to ESPN. Las Vegas police Lt. Clinton Nichols said Tuesday that 30-year-old Arfat Fadel is suspected of multiple felonies, including kidnapping and robbery.

Our View:Fadel was arrested Friday and police are still looking for a second suspect. Nichols said the 29-year-old Walker got into a vehicle with the two men early June 16 before he was found beaten and unconscious on a side street near the Las Vegas Strip. Walker told police $3,000 in cash and about $100,000 in jewelry were taken. Walker suffered a moderate concussion and significant facial injuries. He was treated at a Las Vegas hospital and released last Wednesday.

We recently reported receiver Javon Walker was beaten and robbed in Las Vegas, and we followed with a ProFootballTalk.com review of an interview Walker gave submitting his own account of what happened (stating his hotel room was ambushed, he was beaten unconscience, and we dragged to the street). Now PFT reports the authorities in Vegas have reviewed a plethora of surveillance tapes and find no evidence supporting Walker's story.

Our View:According to Norm Clarke of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, police have revealed they possess video of Walker getting into a car under his own power, not being dragged or coerced by force. Walker was found at 7:30 a.m. local time, unconscious in a pool of blood. He had left the Body English night club at 3:00 a.m. after a night of spraying champagne.
