Brett Favre told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he would like to play the entire game on Sunday against the Lions. However, he also conceded that Mike McCarthy will make the call on his playing time.

Brett Favre took the majority of the snaps during practice on Thursday despite his left shoulder and right elbow injuries. “I think Brett’s going to be fine for Sunday,” head coach Mike McCarthy told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “I’m not taking anything out or limiting anything that I’m asking him to do that I would normally ask him to do.”

Brett Favre returned to practice on a limited basis on Thursday. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that he threw about a dozen passes, including one 25-yarder. He is hoping to play through a left shoulder and a right elbow injury.

Don’t worry cheeseheads! Brett Favre’s consecutive game streak will not end anytime soon. Favre is expected to start on Dec. 9 against the Oakland Raiders keeping his streak of 249 games started alive and well. “Just to quote the medical staff, his streak is not in danger. He’ll be OK,” said coach Mike McCarthy on Friday. Favre left the game against the Cowboys in the second quarter with a bruised elbow and an aggravated shoulder.

Brett Favre injured his right elbow and left shoulder in the first half of Thursday's loss at Dallas, the AP reports. Aaron Rodgers played the remainder of the game for the Packers. Favre admitted he didn't realize he had the separated shoulder until he made his way to the interview podium after the game. He's hopeful that he'll be able to go in Week 14. "I think I'll be OK," said Favre, who was wearing a bandage over his right arm. "It's fortunate we have a few extra days off. I'll just rest and see."

Favre threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Greg Jennings with 4:56 left in the first quarter against the Vikings today to establish the new record. The scoring strike was number 421 of Favre’s career, breaking Hall of Famer Dan Marino’s record.

[Favre is] going to be fine. He's played with a lot worse." It seems pretty unlikely Favre’s consecutive games streak will end because of a minor cut.

Brett Favre ongoing offseason saga took another twist on Wednesday it was revealed that intends to report for the team’s minicamp session on Friday. “Brett’s going to camp because it’s the right thing to do,” agent Bus Cook told ESPN.com. “He’s going up there for his teammates, to check out some of the new guys and he expects to do everything everybody else does.” Favre previously stated that he planned to skip the mandatory minicamp.

Brett Favre could be fined for skipping a mandatory minicamp this weekend. Although head coach Mike McCarthy has yet to comment on the matter, a team spokesman delivered a message for him. “As far as (McCarthy) is concerned, it’s a mandatory minicamp,” Blumb told the Green Bay Press Gazette. Favre’s agent stated earlier this week that Favre would stay at home to rest his surgically repaired ankle and plan for his daughter’s graduation party.

Brett Favre had surgery to remove spurs from his left ankle Monday and probably will remain in Wisconsin for a day or two before returning home to Mississippi, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports. Favre has had problems with his left ankle for at least several years but decided this year to finally have the spurs removed to relieve the chronic pain and perhaps help with his mobility.

Brett Favre will indeed play in 2007, according to the Biloxi Sun Herald. "I am so excited about coming back," Favre said. "We have a good nucleus of young players. We were 8-8 last year and that's encouraging." Favre threw for 3,885 yards last season, with 18 touchdown passes and 18 interceptions. He's also started an amazing 237 games in a row.
