If Thursday was indeed the last home start for Brett Favre, he went out with a forgettable outing, albeit the Packers got the victory. Favre threw a whopping 50 passes on the night but not much came of it; he completed 26 of them for 285 yards (5.7 an attempt), but he didn't direct any scoring drives and one of his two interceptions was run back for a Minnesota touchdown. Favre has not speculated on whether or not he'll return in 2007.

Brett Favre ran some plays in practice on Wednesday but did not participate in team drills, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Favre still hasn't regained feeling in two fingers as a result of the nerve injury he suffered on Sunday. Favre has emphatically stated that he will play against the Seahawks on Monday night.
November 21, 2006
The elbow injury Brett Favre suffered Sunday is not considered to be serious, and the quarterback is expected to be in the lineup Monday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "He took a shot on the elbow," coach Mike McCarthy said. "They (the doctors) didn't go into the specifics of the nerve and everything, but they think he's going to be fine. He's not very worried about it, which to them is a clear indication because he's been through this so long and they trust his judgment based on their history with him."
November 20, 2006
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said that Brett Favre was "okay" after injuring a nerve in his right elbow on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers is out for the season, so if Favre was unable to play, Ingle Martin would get the call.
November 19, 2006
CBS reported that Brett Favre would be able to make the start next Sunday despite injuring a nerve in his right elbow, but coach Mike McCarthy said Favre's status is unclear for the moment, according to the AP. Aaron Rodgers would start for the Packers should Favre not be able to go.

Brett Favre participated in some but not all of practice Thursday, with Aaron Rodgers assuming the rest of the snaps, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports. The coaching staff expects Favre to play Sunday despite his shoulder and head injuries.

Brett Favre should be sufficiently recovered from shoulder and head injuries to return to practice Wednesday, Packers coach Mike McCarthy told the AP on Tuesday. The $3 million roster bonus Brett Favre would collect if he doesn't retire won't be due until July 27, according to the AP. Originally due last month, the Packers have pushed it back to give Favre more time to decide whether he will return to play next season.
April 8, 2006
At a press conference Saturday in which he was supposed to announce whether or not he would retire, Brett Favre said he still didn't know what he was going to do, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I don't know why you guys wasted a trip down here," he told the media gathered in Tunica, Miss., the site of his charity golf tournament. He added that he probably wouldn't have a decision today, disputing reports that the club was insisting on a decision today. "That is not true," Favre said. "If I don't tell them by Saturday, what will they do, cut me? We have talked the last month and there are some things that I have to sort out. If they don't come together, I guess I won't play. The Packers pushed back the date that Brett Favre must be on the roster to receive a $3 million roster bonus until April 1, giving the quarterback that much more time to decide if he wants to return or retire, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Either way, it's really an artificial deadline, as Favre isn't technically due the money until September, and if he eventually decides to retire at some point between April 1 and the start of the season, the team won't have to pay him. The point of the bonus was to force the Packers to cut him in the spring if they didn't want to retain him in 2006, which is not the issue.
