T.J. Houshmandzadeh is unlikely to play in Cincinnati's initial preseason game against the Packers on Monday, according to Bengals.com.

Our View:Houshmandzadeh has been dealing with a tight hamstring, and there is no reason to push him now, which fantasy owners are sure to appreciate.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh has sat out several recent Bengals practices with a hamstring injury, reports bengals.com.

Our View:His injury isn't considered to be too serious and he should just be considered day-to-day.

Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh is entering his eighth season, the last covered in his current four-year contract, but there have been no talks on an extension between his agent and the Cincinnati Bengals, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:"Don't worry about the contract year," Houshmandzadeh said. "I'm going to go out there and I'm going to get better, like I have. Since the Bengals have given me a chance to play, I've gotten better every year. And I'm going to get better this year." Houshmandzadeh’s attitude and professionalism provide a stark contrast to the Chad Johnson situation. He has improved his statistical output during each of the past four seasons, so we expect the Bengals to eventually step up to the plate with some new financials.

Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh reported for the Cincinnati Bengals mandatory mini-camp this morning, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Houshmandzadeh is seeking a new contract, and there were some questions as to whether he would show up for this camp. This is a good faith move by Houshmandzadeh, and it could speed up negotiations on a new deal.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh broke his silence on the Chad Johnson front and you might be surprised to read what he said according to ESPN. "If he's not traded it's going to be a problem." Houshmandzadeh told ESPN's Bob Holtzman. "I think eventually he'll show up, but then you have to worry about how much of a distraction he'll be."

Our View:And so it goes. Johnson's teammates have to be fed up with his me first attitude and with T.J. coming out against him today it would seem like he has very few allies in that dressing room.
