T.J. Houshmandzadeh has been a fast learner regarding the Seahawks' offense, according to the News Tribune.

Our View:This is encouraging news, as Houshmandzadeh was previously not familiar with a West Coast offense. He will be the top target at receiver in the Seahawks' offense, but no longer has Carson Palmer throwing him the ball, and it remains to be seen if Matt Hasselbeck can bounce back and stay healthy.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh has faith in the Seahawks this season, according to the Seattle Times. Seattle is coming off a 4-12 2008 campaign, but the newly acquired receiver said, "We are going to be good. Real good. Everybody stays healthy, ah man. We are going to be something special. The talent we have on this team and then coach Mora brings everything together just right."

Our View:Houshmandzadeh inherits the top role at receiver with the Seahawks, and could hold his ranking as a No. 1 fantasy receiver if quarterback Matt Hasselbeck makes a healthy and successful comeback, and if either Deion Branch or Nate Burleson step up as a solid wingman.

New Seahawks wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh will need to undergo an MRI, though he did not specify what the problem was, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:This could be cause for concern for the Seahawks should something turn up on the exam, but unless it's a serious injury, it doesn't seem likely Houshmandzadeh's contract is in danger.
March 2, 2009
The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign free-agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh to a multi-year deal on Monday, according to ESPN. The Vikings and Bengals were also seeking the wide receiver's services.

Our View:The Seahawks were desperately thin at the position, so making a strong bid for Housh made plenty of sense. The 30-year-old will be the No. 1 target for Matt Hasselbeck next season. Over the last three seasons, no receiver has more catches than Housh.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh has left Minnesota without a deal, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He departed late Sunday night for Los Angeles, where he resides in the offseason.

Our View:It appears that Houshmandzadeh has still yet to make a decision on whom to sign with, and most reports have the Vikings and Seahawks as the two front-runners in the sweepstakes for the top wideout of the 2009 free agent class, while a return to Cincinnati isn't out of the question either. Houshmandzadeh has hinted that it could come down to a simple matter of which offer is the most lucrative, meaning it will be up to the teams in the running to decide just how much they desire Houshmandzadeh's services.
