Kenny Watson is questionable for Sunday's game at Cleveland due to his ailing hamstring, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Watson had a productive campaign in 2007, but holds no fantasy value now while buried behind Cedric Benson and Chris Perry on the Bengals' depth chart.

Kenny Watson was limited in Wednesday's practice while dealing with a shoulder injury, according to the Bengals' official website.

Our View:Watson currently holds no fantasy value while backing up Cedric Benson at running back.
October 14, 2008
Coach Marvin Lewis praised running back Kenny Watson, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Lewis said, "I thought Kenny had a good week of practice. You know, he practiced a week ago Friday and this week, so we've got to look at everything. We owe it to everybody to find a way to get more done."

Our View:Watson will be a candidate, along with Cedric Benson, to start at running back if Chris Perry continues to struggle, namely with ball security. Watson has been dealing with a hamstring ailment, but is worth targeting if named the starter, as he topped 100 rushing yards twice in 2007.
October 7, 2008
As expected, the Cincinnati Bengals re-signed running back Kenny Watson on Tuesday, according to Bengals.com.

Our View:Watson was promised that by the team that he would be re-signed (which is against league policy), and that came to fruition. Cincinnati starts Chris Perry, but unless he stops fumbling, Perry may lose time to Cedric Benson and Watson.
October 7, 2008
The Tennessee Titans broke league rules by cutting and then promising to re-sign quarterback Chris Simms, and the Cincinnati Bengals will be in violation as well when they re-sign running back Kenny Watson as they promised, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:The website explains that this is roster manipulation, and though it is common, the league does have rules against it. No word on any possible ramifications for either team.
October 6, 2008
Coach Marvin Lewis indicated that Kenny Watson will be re-signed by the Bengals Monday, according to the official team website. His contract was previously terminated to make room for receiver Chris Henry on the roster.

Our View:Watson would compete with Cedric Benson for the primary backup job behind starter Chris Perry, which could hold some fantasy significance since Perry could be falling out of favor with five fumbles, and is only averaging 2.8 yards per carry.
October 4, 2008
The Bengals terminated the contract of Kenny Watson Saturday in order to make room for Chris Henry on the active roster.

Our View:Watson was a valuable piece for the Bengals last year but has been unable to shake injuries this season. He could end up on the team's practice squad if no one else scoops him up.
October 2, 2008
Kenny Watson missed practice for the second straight day, according to the Bengals' website.

Our View:He will likely be doubtful for this Sunday's game in Dallas.
October 1, 2008

Our View:It does not appear he will be available for Sunday's game at Dallas. The club signed Cedric Benson on Tuesday for roster depth behind starter Chris Perry.

Kenny Watson is still bothered by his hamstring injury, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He was forced to miss last week's game against Cleveland due to the ailment.

Our View:Coach Marvin Lewis is unsure of his condition for Week 5 at Dallas. Fantasy owners should not be concerned as he was only given seven carries over the first four weeks of the season.
September 28, 2008
Bengals inactives: QB Carson Palmer (3rd), CB Jonathan Joseph, SS Dexter Jackson, RB Kenny Watson, DB Herana-Daze, WR Andre Caldwell, DT Pat Sims, DT Jason Shirley.

Our View:We previously reported the news about Palmer being the emergency quarterback. Additionally, Watson will miss this week's game against Cleveland with a hamstring injury.
September 26, 2008
Kenny Watson didn't practice at all on Friday because of his injured hamstring and is being listed as questionable for Week 4, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:If Watson can't go that would leave Chris Perry with all the touches out of the Bengals backfield which should easily elevate him into RB2 territory this weekend.
September 25, 2008
Kenny Watson was limited in practice on Thursday due to an injured hamstring, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:In the Bengals firs three games, Watson only has seven carries for 32 yards. He is only worth having on your roster if you have the Bengals starter, Chris Perry.
September 5, 2008
Kenny Watson has been added to the Bengals' injury report, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He was reported as being limited in practice due to a hamstring ailment.

Our View:His ailment should afford more carries to starting running back Chris Perry in Sunday's opener against Baltimore.
July 21, 2008
The Bengals plan on giving Kenny Watson a limited role this season, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Chris Perry looks to be healthy again, and the team seemingly expects him to serve as the primary backup to starter Rudi Johnson this season, although Watson will be given a fair chance to beat him out in training camp.
June 25, 2008
Running back Kenny Watson is one of the league's most underrated and under-appreciated backs, but he's revered by his coaches and teammates for his talent, work ethic and versatility, according to the Sporting News. He's not a breakaway threat, but shows good quickness off the ball, is a tough inside runner, and has the speed and burst to get to the perimeter.

Our View:Watson is also a solid kickoff returner and is terrific in kick coverage because of his speed and toughness. He's expected to serve as Rudi Johnson's primary backup, though the oft-injured Chris Perry will push him in training camp.
