Two days after signing a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, veteran receiver Drew Bennett has decided to retire after an old knee injury flared up over the weekend, according toPro Football Talk.

Our View:In eight career seasons, Bennett caught 307 balls for 4,412 yards and 28 touchdowns. He's only 30, so who's to know if we have actually seen the last of him or not.

Drew Bennett has agreed to a one-year deal with the Ravens, according to the Carroll County Times. He will earn the veteran minimum.

Our View:Bennett has recovered from his foot injury that spoiled his 2008 campaign with St. Louis, and he feels healthy again. Baltimore signed him as insurance in case Derrick Mason is finished and ready to hang up his cleats.

Drew Bennett will be one of four receivers to work out for Baltimore on Friday, according to the Nashville City Paper.

Our View:The Ravens are looking to add a veteran receiver to their roster following the announcement of Derrick Mason's retirement, even though they are apparently still in discussion with Mason, who may decide to play after all is said and done. D.J. Hackett is one of the others that is due to work out, while the other two remain unknown. There's no reason to consider Bennett or Hackett a fantasy option at this point.

The Buccaneers will work out former Rams and Titans receiver Drew Bennett tomorrow according to the St. Petersburg Times.

Our View:Bennett was set to be the Rams number two receiver in 2008, but went down for the year four plays into the season. He was a solid receiver during his time in Tennessee, but caught only 34 balls in 15 games for the Rams. He is surely worth a gamble for an NFL team, but not for your fantasy squad.

The Titans are still considering bringing back receiver Drew Bennett, according to the Tennessean.

Our View:Bennett was productive during his stint with the Titans from 2001-06, but has failed to stay healthy over his last two seasons with the Rams. Quarterback Kerry Collins believes Bennett would be able to adapt to their new offense quickly, and he would add veteran leadership to their young receiving corps - but his fantasy stock would remain low.
