Michael Vick was on the field for only two snaps against the Cowboys on Sunday night, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Puzzling when you really think about it, considering how anemic the Eagles' potent-on-paper offense looked last night. It's clear at this point that Vick's signing was little more than a favor, and there is no reason to believe he will not continue to be one of the most invisible players in the league in Philadelphia going forward.

The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that Eagles' quarterback Michael Vick had X-rays on his injured ribs after the game on Sunday. The test came back negative for any breaks or fractures.

Our View:There is Vick's "Welcome Back" moment, as he took a solid knee right to the ribs that knocked the wind out of him. The more solid hits he takes, the more he can prove to those around the league that he is ready to play full-time for someone next season. We still think he will struggle to find a starting job next season, but there are plenty of teams who could use a new signal caller.

Former head coach Tony Dungy advised Michael Vick to steer clear of the Raiders, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Dungy said, "I advised Michael Vick not to go there. I said, 'Mike, you might be able to start there but that is not a good place for you.'"

Our View:The Raiders were interested in signing Vick, but it is uncertain exactly how serious talks were. The Raiders are gravely struggling, and Vick would have had a better opportunity to see the field there than he currently does in Philadelphia.

Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that Michael Vick will not be back with the Eagles next season. Domowitch asserts that it was understood between the two sides that the Eagles would not exercise his team option before he signed the deal.

Our View:Vick wants to be a starter next season, so there is no reason for him to stay in Philly anyway. It will be interesting to see what kind of attention he gets after this season is over, because he hasn't shown anything so far that would get him a starting quarterback job.

Ashley Fox of the Philadelphia Inquirer suggests that quarterback Michael Vick could see upward of a dozen plays in his regular season debut on Sunday against the Chiefs. The Eagles have not revealed their plans for Vick at this point.

Our View:The Eagles are playing this one pretty close to the vest, and while some people, like Fox, believe that Vick could be a big part of the gameplan against the Chiefs, while others believe he could be inactive this weekend. Vick isn't worth playing in fantasy leagues, but it would be smart to keep an eye on him with McNabb banged up.
