Tom Brady stated that he will not require any offseason surgery after dealing with right shoulder, right ring finger and rib injuries during the 2009 campaign, according to ESPN. Brady said, "I am excited I do not have to have surgery this offseason. I remember a year ago at this time there were all these concerns on whether I was going to play this year. I was never concerned about that. It is nice to be in an offseason when I really feel like I can get started right away."

Our View:So it appears that the elite quarterback will just need normal rest during the offseason. Brady also noted that he has no concern while entering the final year of his contract with the Patriots in 2010.

Tom Brady put forth an awful performance in New England's playoff loss to the Ravens on Sunday, going 23-of-42 for 154 yards with two touchdowns, three interceptions and a lost fumble.

Our View:Brady was harassed by Ray Lewis and company all day long and looked uncharacteristically uncomfortable under pressure. Look for Brady to be one of the top quarterbacks selected in fantasy drafts next year, as he'll be another year removed from major knee surgery and will also have time to recover from the various ailments he was suffering from toward the end of the year.

In very unsurprising news, Tom Brady has taken home the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award, according to Fanhouse. Cadillac Williams finished second, while Vince Young placed third.

Our View:After being knocked out in the first half of New England's first game in 2008, Mr. Brady did what he does in 2009, passing for 4,398 yards and 28 touchdowns as the Patriots went 10-6. He makes them a very dangerous team in this year's playoffs.

Updating a previous report, Tom Brady was inserted back into the lineup in the game at Houston after being pulled in the second quarter.

Our View:Not sure what Belichick is thinking here, as the team has already lost wide receiver Wes Welker (knee) and offensive guard Dan Connolly (ankle) to injuries. At any rate, Brady is back in the game, which is good news for his fantasy owners that have championship games this week.

The Patriots pulled Tom Brady in the second quarter of the game at Houston after completing 9-of-13 passes for 130 yards with zero touchdowns against zero interceptions.

Our View:Smart move by Bill Belichick, considering the team lost wide receiver Wes Welker earlier in the game due to a potentially serious knee injury. Brady has been playing with broken ribs, and can definitely use the rest heading into the postseason.

On CBS Sunday, Charlie Casserly reported what a lot of people have suspected over the last month: Tom Brady has been playing through broken ribs, according to Pro Football Talk.

Our View:Brady actually broke the ribs in the preseason against Washington, and then aggravated the injury against the Jets in Week 11. Tom Terrific has started all 15 games this year, but the Patriots could elect to sit him early today at Houston to avoid further damage.
