The Contra Costa Times reports that the Raiders consider LaMont Jordan to be doubtful for Saturday's game due to a turf-toe injury to his right big toe. He sustained the injury during Week 15's game, and coach Norv Turner said Jordan's status for Week 16 should be known on Thursday. Zach Crockett and Justin Fargas would split the workload if Jordan is out.

In his debut as a starting tailback with the Raiders, LaMont Jordan rushed for 70 yards on 18 carries and caught five more balls for 40 yards Thursday. The Raiders weren't in a position to run heavily in the second half, and The Pats kept him out of the end zone.

Raiders coach Norv Turner is impressed with LaMont Jordan so far, according to the Oakland Tribune. "He's been outstanding," Turner said. "He's a big, big back. He's got outstanding vision. Everybody talks about speed, but more important is the vision, the ability to see that cut and make it." Since practices started, Jordan has been seen breaking through on big runs, often barely touched at the line.

The Raiders officially signed LaMont Jordan to a five-year deal worth $27.5 million -- including a $7 million signing bonus, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton. Jordan will receive $11 million in guaranteed money and $17.8 million over the first three years of the contract, including $15.7 million in bonuses.
