December 1, 2009 Kicker and 16-year veteran Jason Elam has been released by the Atlanta Falcons, according to Our View:He is being replaced by Matt Bryant after converting just 12-of-19 field goals this season, obviously not an acceptable rate for an NFL kicker. |

October 14, 2009 Falcons' kicker Jason Elam practiced fully on Wednesday, according to the Our View:Elam's hamstring is doing much better, and there is no reason to think he won't be fine this week. Unless something happens as the rest of the week progresses, expect him to be fine. |
