September 16, 2008 Falcons kicker Jason Elam is dealing with an inflamed bursa sac in his hip, and though it is painful, it is not something that will prevent him from kicking, according to the Our View:Elam has been perfect on field goals and extra points this season, so despite his pain, he makes for a decent fantasy option. |

Elam is listed as questionable for Week 2, according to Our View:Elam was solid in his Atlanta debut connecting on all of his extra points and even made a 50-yard field goal. If he proves to be healthy, Elam might be a good option at kicker this week. |

August 12, 2008 Reports out of Atlanta have kicker Jason Elam working on technique following two missed field goals, coming from 49 and 54 yards, against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Falcons' first preseason game of the season, according to the Our View:Elam evaluated tape of his kicking motion during the game and in practice leading into the loss and realized his mechanics were off. He has spent the past two days making corrections. We will see if he can improve in the Falcons' preseason home opener on Saturday against Indianapolis. |
