Jaguars.com is reporting that Jaguars' quarterback David Garrard has shown a tendency to look toward new receiver Torry Holt despite the limited work the pair has done together so far this offseason. Holt came to the Jaguars after spending his entire career as a St. Louis Ram.

Our View:Holt figures to be Garrard's top option at wide out this season, so it's no surprise that Garrard is making an effort to get the ball to the veteran receiver. Assuming he is healthy for an entire year, Holt looks to be a good bet for fantasy production, and this story only validates the idea that Holt will be the first option for Garrard in a majority of the passing plays.

ESPN.com reports that offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter is getting to know new Jaguars receiver Torry Holt very well so far in the offseason. Holt is drawing strong reviews from both within the organization and even from other teams.

Our View:Holt definitely fell off last season as the Rams offense struggled badly. David Garrard is an accurate passer and Holt is a precise route runner. The two should make a solid pairing and Holt is the best receiver the Jags have had since Jimmy Smith.

Torry Holt predicts a solid campaign with the Jaguars in 2009, according to the Florida Times-Union. Holt said, "I think 1,000 yards, however many touchdowns and a Pro Bowl is still in the picture for me. That is the way I have always thought, that is the way I train. That is the way I prepare, and I do not expect anything less here in Jacksonville."

Our View:Those goals are achievable as the Jaguars' new No. 1 target in the aerial attack, but he needs to stay healthy. Playing his home games on natural grass will help, namely his balky knees.

Torry Holt wanted to finish his career with the Rams, but is looking forward to playing with the Jaguars, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Holt said, "The Rams wanted to go in another direction. And I wanted to go in another direction. And here we are. I was actually glad to have gotten it over with. And I was glad for them to actually come to grips with it and get it over with, so they could move on as an organization and I could move on as a ballplayer."

Our View:Holt will now play his home games on grass as opposed to an artificial surface in St. Louis, which should benefit his balky knees. Holt may no longer be among the elite receivers in the NFL, but he could still have a productive season as the Jaguars' No. 1 target in their aerial attack.

ESPN.com reports that Torry Holt feels that he can still be a difference maker in his 11th season. Holt says that it was a lack of chemistry and not his surgically repaired knee that led to a dip in production last season. The receiver also said that he is a much craftier player now than he was when he was going to Super Bowls.

Our View:Holt should at the very least match last season's numbers, and there's a good chance that he exceeds them. He will be in a better offensive system and should be the No. 1 option for David Garrard.
