Miami running back Ricky Williams and fellow back Ronnie Brown have a goal of each rushing for 1,000 yards on the season, according to ESPN.com. Williams has been turning heads with his impressive play, and he looks "explosive" on the field, according to the report.

Our View:The goal of the two backs seems highly unlikely to happen, but Williams is a guy that most fantasy owners are forgetting about. Don't be afraid to spend a late-round pick on him, as it just might pay dividends.

The Dolphins have been pleased with Ricky Williams through the off-season and the team felt like he was the best player on the field during their OTA sessions, according to the Miami Herald. New head coach Tony Sparano said, "I see the potential in him. I sure do. When I watch him, I see him being explosive in and out of the line of scrimmage. He's explosive with what he does in the second level and his ball skills when he catches the ball."

Our View:Williams has reportedly been running with authority and displaying great quickness, but he is yet to perform in full-contact drills and get hit. It is too early to buy into the hype coming out of Miami right now.

Ricky Williams is 31-years-old, but he believes he can put in four more seasons, according to the Associated Press. Williams figures that his time away from football has kept him fresh, as he has played just 13 games over the previous four seasons.

Our View:Williams got hurt after six carries last season, so it's impossible to know how he will fare for 2008, much less three seasons after that.

Reports out of Miami have asserted running back Ricky Williams as a favorite of new V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:Williams' story has been tumultuous to say the least, but the former Heisman Trophy winner appears to be more motivated in recent workouts and the lack of abuse suffered over recent campaigns has Parcells putting full support behind the once-embattled phenom. Talk reports that after breaking a series of long running drills, Parcells voiced loud praise for Williams and gave Ricky a fist bump. From Tuna, that is praise the vast majority of his players have never seen, and that has us wondering just how involved Ricky will be in the offense this year. Stay tuned.

Ricky Williams remains the most impressive running back for the Dolphins in the off-season, according to the Sun-Sentinel. He is running hard and looks fast, as he has been routinely beating defenders to the outside on sweeps.

Our View:This is encouraging, but we won't get excited until we see him in full-contact drills. A time-share with Ronnie Brown seems likely, but there is still a long way to go for the Dolphins to make that call.
