Donovan McNabb knows that some Eagles fans have questions about the quarterback's current ailment, his injury history, and his ability to lead the team to a Super Bowl title, this according to SI.com. "I do think it gets blown way out of proportion. With the injury, if you don't say anything, then people think it's bigger than what it is and if you do say something, some people still think you're hiding something. It's a no-win situation and I've been part of them for a long time. I've heard people say, 'Donovan is fat,' I'm out of shape and I'm too big. I just don't get caught up in it."

Our View:Considering the 32-year old McNabb hasn't played a full 16-game season since 2003 missing one game in '04, seven games in '05, six games in '06 and two games last year -- concerns and questions are more than justified.

Head coach Andy Reid said MRI results were negative on quarterback Donovan McNabb’s shoulder, which was why Reid emphasized that no surgery was in the offing when he spoke briefly with reporters on Tuesday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Reid has shut down McNabb because of slight tendinitis in his shoulder, after he experienced a little tightness during recent practices. This appears to be a situation where the coach is resting a player who already knows the offensive system inside and out, as a precautionary measure.

Donovan McNabb has been shut down for the balance of the week due to tendinitis in his shoulder, according to ProFootballTalk.com. McNabb previously downplayed the condition of his shoulder, but now it has been revealed that he has in fact been nursing an ailment.

Our View:Kevin Kolb will benefit, as he will be getting the bulk of the reps with the first-team offense. McNabb's injury is said to be the result of lifting weights.

Donovan McNabb practiced on a "very limited" basis Monday due to concerns about his shoulder, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:The quarterback told Brian Seltzer of ESPN Radio 950 in Philly that he's not concerned about the shoulder and is confident it will improve. The fact that he says is will improve means that there is, in fact, something wrong with it. Anyone who drafts McNabb is aware of the injury risk he brings, but he's usually not already injured going into a season. It might be wise to knock him down a few spots in your cheat sheets.

Wide receiver Kevin Curtis implied that Donovan McNabb may be nursing shoulder soreness, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View:McNabb notably didn't throw on the final day of the mandatory team minicamp last month, and his passes reportedly lacked "zip" on Wednesday. A team source stated that nothing was wrong with McNabb's shoulder, and he took batting practice with the Phillies last night. The team confirms he is fine, but we will continue to monitor the situation.
