Peyton Manning is expected to play a half at most in Week 17's game with Tennessee. Tony Dungy's team in the past have shown little interest in trying to win the final game of the regular season if it's meaningless to playoff seeding.

Peyton Manning scored on a one-yard touchdown run helping the Colts gain a 14-0 second quarter lead on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night. The rushing touchdown is Manning’s second of the season, and 15th in his career. He also added a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter and threw for 259 yards.

Peyton Manning has agreed to restructure his contract with the Colts to save the team nearly $8 million in cap space, according to the AP. Manning was scheduled to receive a $10 million roster bonus during the offseason, but the money will instead be converted into a regular signing bonus, which the team can prorate over the last four remaining years of his contract.

Peyton Manning isn't giving any details on his injured right thumb, but it's believed that he practiced yesterday without a wrap on the digit, according to the Indianapolis Star. Whatever the problem is, all signs point to him being ready for the Super Bowl. "He's going to practice (Wednesday) and we're anticipating everything being fine," said coach Tony Dungy.

Peyton Manning had X-rays on his right thumb Monday and no break was found, the AP reports. He's expected to be fine for the Super Bowl in 13 days. "There's no concerns with that at all," team owner Jim Irsay said. "He's fine. I talked to the trainer about it earlier, and I know that's the case."

Peyton Manning was scheduled to have X-rays on his right thumb Monday, though the Colts don't expect his status to be affected for the Super Bowl, the AP reports. Coach Tony Dungy said the thumb was discolored after Sunday's AFC Championship Game and that Manning was hurting. "But from everything I hear, it's going to be OK," Dungy said.

Peyton Manning had an odd game against the Chiefs Saturday, completing 30-of-38 passes for 268 yards but also throwing three interceptions. The Colts had to focus on the short passing game for most of the day with the Kansas City secondary focused on taking away anything deep to the outside. Manning had one touchdown pass, a five-yard hookup with Reggie Wayne in the fourth quarter.
