The Washington Times is reporting that Redskins' receiver James Thrash is considering retirement due to his neck injury. Thrash is contemplating whether to have surgery on his neck to play this season, but sources say he may instead retire from football.

Our View:Thrash appears to be leaning toward retirement, which may be the best option for him. He is a backup on the Redskins' squad, and neck injuries are nothing to mess around with. We will update his status as it becomes available, but he holds no fantasy value regardless of his decision.

James Thrash is not participating in minicamp while nursing a neck injury, according to the Washington Post.

Our View:The source expects him to be ready to participate in June OTA's. Thrash did not hold any fantasy value in 2008 with only nine receptions and one touchdown over 16 games.

Wide receiver James Thrash sprained his knee during the Week 6 loss to the Rams, the AP reports.

Our View:We don't know the extent of the injury yet. If Thrash is out for a while, we could see more of rookies Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly.

James Thrash practiced Friday and is expected to play in Week 3 against Arizona, according to the Washington Post. He had been dealing with a high ankle sprain, and sported a walking boot earlier in the week.

Our View:Thrash's production has declined in each of his last six seasons in the NFL and does not merit fantasy consideration.
