Gary Brackett expects to be ready to go for training camp, according to the Indianapolis Star. He has been recovering from a broken bone in his right leg.

Our View:Brackett should remain a rock-solid linebacker for IDP leagues if healthy. He racked up 99 tackles over 12 games last season prior to going down, and averaged 121 tackles from 2005-07.

Marlin Jackson returned to practice with the Colts today, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:This is surprising as it typically takes a full year to recover from ACL surgery. Jackson underwent his surgery December 1. Jackson noted that he is not 100 percent recovered yet, but is ahead of schedule. When healthy, Jackson is a solid NFL cornerback.

Ed Johnson would have to serve a one-game suspension if he makes the Colts this season for his arrest of marijuana possession, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Our View:The Colts have good depth at defensive tackle, but Johnson could push for playing time if he manages to make the club in training camp.

NFL.com is reporting that the Colts have re-signed Ed Johnson. Johnson played 16 games for the Colts in 2007 and one game in 2008 before he was released after being arrested on marijuana possesion charges.

Our View:Johnson will have to earn a spot on the roster, but if he makes it he could get some playing time. Johnson was good in 2007, and the Colts have decided to give him another chance.

ESPN.com reports that the Colts re-signed linebacker Freddie Keiaho to a one-year deal. The Colts did not tender him earlier in the offseason making him an unrestricted free agent. He figures to serve as a reserve this season despite starting 14 games last season.

Our View:The fourth-year player had a career-high 105 tackles last season, but Clint Session appears to have taken his job as the weak-side linebacker. As a reserve, he does not hold any IDP value.
