The Bears signed rookie defensive tackle Jarron Gilbert to a four-year deal on Wednesday, Pro Football Weekly confirms. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Bears have now signed all nine of their draft picks.

Our View:This third-round pick out of San Jose State will be part of the team's DT rotation in 2009. The Bears will be happy if he pushes for a starting job a year from now.

Charles Tillman practiced on Wednesday for the first time since undergoing shoulder surgery in January according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:Tillman had 93 tackles and three interceptions for the Bears in 2008, and is a solid option at cornerback in IDP leagues.

Defensive tackle Tommie Harris has missed most of the team's OTA work due to lingering soreness in his left knee. "No, I'm not surprised about the knee," Harris responds to the Chicago Tribune. "That's how injuries go: one minute up, next down. You just hope the up comes faster than the down." He tore his MCL in Week 3 of 2008, and he often battled through the pain.

Our View:Harris has the skills to be one of the NFL's elite defensive tackles, but he can't be that guy if his knee is bothering him. His health will likely remain a hot topic when the Bears head to training camp.

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Bears linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa has shown up to Bears OTAs weighing just 225 pounds, 15 less than his listed weight.

Our View:Pisa is working to earn a starting job on the strong-side, and says he is confident he can at only 225 pounds.

ChicagoBears.com is reporting that the team has signed six of its 2009 draft picks to four-year contracts. The players that have signed include fourth-round corner D.J. Moore, fifth-round receiver Johnny Knox, fifth-round linebacker Marcus Freeman, sixth-round safety Al Afalava, seventh-round offensive lineman Lance Louis and seventh-round receiver Derek Kinder.

Our View:The Bears got quite a bit of work done today. Moore and Knox should have an excellent chance to contribute, and the rest of the players will fight for roster spots this summer.
