October 5, 2008 Isaac Bruce scored two touchdowns in a 49ers loss and the scores were his third and fourth of 2008. Our View:The veteran continues to excel with his new team. Bruce has 275 yards receiving to go along with his four touchdowns. |

September 28, 2008 Wide receiver Isaac Bruce caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 loss to the Saints. Our View:That's three straight quality outings for the veteran. He looks like the clear No. 2 option in this offense behind Frank Gore. |

September 21, 2008 Isaac Bruce caught his first touchdown of the season as a 49er on Sunday in the first quarter against the Detroit Lions. He had just two catches for 19 yards. Our View:With the maturation of J.T. O'Sullivan and the success of Mike Martz's offense through three weeks, Bruce is worth a depth slot in deep leagues. Last week he had 153 yards on four catches and he was held catchless in Week 1. Inconsistency is clearly an issue a this point, but Bruce should be able to find his rhythm in San Francisco. If he does, he can be a very effective fantasy receiver. |

September 11, 2008 In Week 1 Isaac Bruce was held to no catches in his 49ers debut. Offensive coordinator Mike Martz said he wasn't worried about the goose egg that Bruce put up in Week 1, according to the Mercury News. Martz said, "Isaac and Vernon (Davis) and all the other guys, they're all good players and they'll have their opportunities." Our View:In Mike Martz's offense receivers tend to have big years and if you are in a deep league Bruce might be an option. |
