October 5, 2008
Wide receiver Bobby Engram caught eight passes for 61 yards in the Week 5 loss to the Giants.

Our View:The Seahawks offense had an awful day, but Engram was clearly active in his first outing of the season. He could be a solid PPR play moving forward.

Bobby Engram is returning to action on Sunday, but he won't start. Instead, he will see action as a slot receiver, according to the Daily Herald. Keary Colbert or Billy McMullen will start opposite Deion Branch. Engram and Branch are expected to play roughly half the snaps.

Our View:You might be better off waiting to see how Engram looks for at least a week before re-inserting him into your lineup.

Seahawks receiver Bobby Engram is not happy that his contract was not re-negotiated after his 94-catch season last year, according to the AP.

Our View:Engram returns to the field this week after missing thee games due to a broken shoulder. Contract dispute or not, Engram has solid value in fantasy leagues and can safely returned to lineups.

The AP reports that Bobby Engram will not be eased back into the offense, but rather depended upon immediately. “I’m going to get him the ball. He’s going to get his touches,” coach Mike Holmgren said. “Having Bobby in the game, for all of us, it’s a feel-good thing. It’s comforting.” Holmgren also called him, “the soul of our team.”

Our View:Engram should be a good play going forward. He is a must-play in PPR leagues as he will receive plenty of targets from quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. The two actually planned their family vacations together in order to throw to each other. Engram had broken his shoulder in a preseason game.

The Seattle Times reports that Bobby Engram returned to practice after suffering a broken bone in his shoulder during an exhibition game.

Our View:Engram is an excellent source of production in PPR leagues due to his 94 catches in 16 games last season. With the depleted receiving corps in Seattle, expect him to get plenty of targets beginning in Week 5.
