Mark Brunell is unsure if he wants to continue his career in the NFL or hang up his cleats, according to Florida Times-Union.

Our View:Brunell will turn 40 in September, and may decide to end his career on a high note after the Saints won the Super Bowl yesterday. He has not thrown a touchdown pass since 2006 (with Washington).
January 3, 2010
Starting in place of Drew Brees, Mark Brunell connected on 15-of-29 passes for 102 yards and an interception, as the Saints lost to the Panthers 23-10.

Our View:Brunell's days in the league are numbered and the Saints certainly hope that they do not have to rely on him during their upcoming playoff run.
January 2, 2010
Mark Brunell will start at quarterback for the Saints in Week 17's tilt against the Panthers.

Our View:Drew Brees will be the number-three QB since the Saints have locked up the number-one seed. Chase Daniel was promoted from the practice squad on Saturday and will handle the backup duties behind Brunell. The 36-year-old quarterback could be a bit rusty, as he hasn't started a game since 2006.

Mark Brunell is looking comfortable in the pocket and is fitting in well in New Orleans, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:He will battle Jamie Martin for the top backup job at quarterback behind Drew Brees.

Mark Brunell is the likely number two QB for the Saints, as of now. This according to the New Orleans Times Picayune. Coach Payton commented on him and former top backup Jamie Martin, "Mark's a veteran player. It's no secret we were actively pursuing a few veteran quarterbacks. We were fortunate to sign Mark last week. That being said, I had a chance to visit with Jamie last week and it probably negates his opportunity here. The two years we spent with Jamie and him being a part of this team has been outstanding for all of us."
