ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that former Rams' quarterback Trent Green has decided to retire from the game of football. Green, who is 38 years old, was released by the Rams after one season backing up Marc Bulger.

Our View:Green has suffered through countless injuries, mainly concussions, over the past several years and he feels like now is the right time for him to hang it up. He has said he would like to pursue a career in broadcasting, so we wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors.
March 12, 2009
Trent Green told NFL.com that he does not hold any ill-will towards Rodney Harrison for giving him a season-ending injury and that he roots for Kurt Warner.

Our View:It is not clear if Green wants to play football anymore and at this point of his career is only a backup if he would decide to return.
February 25, 2009
As expected, the Rams have released Trent Green, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Green failed to throw a scoring strike over 72 pass attempts in 2008, while maintaining an anemic 41.7 efficiency rating. He is clearly at the end of his career.
February 24, 2009
The Rams are going to release quarterback Trent Green, according to Howard Balzer of KFNS radio in St. Louis.

Our View:Green is at the end of his career after a down year filling in for an injured Marc Bulger. Green was limited to 525 yards passing with six interceptions and zero touchdowns in three games in 2008.
November 23, 2008
Trent Green has been benched in the fourth quarter of the game against Chicago.

Our View:Green, who completed 16-of-30 passes for 219 yards and four interceptions, was replaced in the lineup by Brock Berlin.
