All-Pro left tackle Walter Jones will miss some practice time this week due to an injured back and hip, according to the AP.

Our View:Head coach Mike Holmgen said that he expects Jones to play despite missing some practices. If Jones would have to miss time, it would leave a huge hole on the Seahawks offensive line.

The Seattle trainers are looking at left tackle Walter Jones' left ankle after he came up limping during a second down play on the Seahawks first possession, according to BuffaloBills.com.

Our View:No current information regarding the severity of the injury, but the Seahawks are already thin with injuries along the offensive line and wide receiver corps.

Seattle Seahawks’ insiders believe the addition of well-regarded veteran offensive line coach Mike Solari could be one of the team’s biggest keys to success this coming season, according to Pro Football Weekly. Solari has the ability to get his linemen to make actual in-game adjustments if necessary, which previous O-line coach Bill Laveroni was unable to do. There is also reason to believe that improved technique under Solari’s direction might help ease the wear and tear on veteran left tackle Walter Jones’ brittle shoulders.

Walter Jones is headed for surgery on his right shoulder, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. The nagging shoulder injury kept him from practicing much of the year.

Seahawks left tackle Walter Jones practiced with the team on Wednesday and will play Sunday barring a setback with his injured shoulder, according to the Seattle Times. The Seahawks offense is a much more effective unit with Jones on the field, so this is great news for Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck.
