The Oakland Raiders could be looking at free agent defensive tackle Sam Adams, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Adams is an enormous human being, and was on the team when the went to the Super Bowl in 2002. His 350 pound frame would be a boost to the team's woeful run defense.

The Broncos inked Sam Adams to a one-year deal Monday. Financial terms weren't disclosed. The mammoth defensive tackle started all 16 games for Cincinnati last year, recording 25 tackles and two sacks. "Coach Bates and (defensive line coach Bill Johnson) have a system that lets defensive linemen use their ability," Adams said Monday in a phone interview with the Denver Post. "It's a great scheme to be in."

The Bengals released Sam Adams on Monday, according to the AP. "Releasing Sam is a very difficult decision," Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said. "But the timing is such that it provides Sam the opportunity to obtain a roster spot with another team." Adams, who had 14 tackles and two sacks last year, became expendable after the Bengals signed Kendrick Allen earlier in the day.
