Terrell Owens had an MRI on his injured right ankle on Monday. The test revealed a small fracture below his knee and a deltoid sprain. However, an ankle specialist peformed an additional test and determined that surgery will be necessary to stabilize the leg. Owens will have a screw inserted on Wednesday, and Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder said that the earliest Owens could return would be the Super Bowl.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said after Sunday's game that Terrell Owens will probably miss Week 16 with a sprained ankle. X-rays on the ankle were negative, but Reid said that it swelled up considerably.

Terrell Owens left Sunday's game with what appeared to be a right knee injury. He was taken to the locker room for X-rays, which were negative. The Eagles later stated that Owens had an ankle injury. With a first-round bye locked up and home-field advantage almost a certainty, the Eagles might choose to shut Owens down for the final two games.

Owens, McNabb, and coach Andy Reid all dismiss any notions of dissent on the team. "I'm not into how it looked," Reid said. "I'm into what happened. It was more encouragement than anything else."

The streak Terrell Owens had going of five straight 100-yard games came to an end on Sunday. He finished the game with seven catches for 53 yards and no touchdowns, and he was seen yelling at quarterback Donovan McNabb on the sidelines.

Terrell Owens was finally granted his wish and was traded to Philadelphia today in a three-way deal that sends defensive end Brandon Whiting from the Eagles to the 49ers and a fifth-round pick from the Eagles to the Ravens, according to Sports Ticker.
