Player Notes
November 16, 2008
Week 11 inactives: K John Carney, RB Danny Ware, CB Kevin Dockery, LB Jonathan Goff, LB Gerris Wilkinson, OL Adam Koets, WR Mario Manningham, DE Jerome McDougle.

Our View:Lawrence Tynes replaced Carney due to the heavy winds in New York. There are no other surprises here.
November 1, 2008
Coach Tom Coughlin has said that his placekicker for Sunday's game against the Cowboys will be a game-time decision between John Carney and Lawrence Tynes, according to the New York Post.

Our View:We're betting that it is Carney who is 18-for-19 on field goals for the Giants this season while Tynes has yet to kick a meaningful field goal. The coach's wait-and-see approach is particularly frustrating for fantasy owners.
October 26, 2008
John Carney had a big game on Sunday, making all four of his field goal attempts and an extra point.

Our View:The Giants' inability to find the end zone was Carney's gain. He will continue to be the team's kicker as long as Lawrence Tynes is hurt.
October 24, 2008
John Carney will remain the Giants' kicker this weekend against the Steelers, according to the NY Daily News.

Our View:He has lost range on his kicks, but is still accurate as he has hit 14-of-15 field goal attempts, while scoring 60 points. It will be tough to score touchdowns at Heinz Field, meaning Carney could register a few more field goals this weekend.
October 19, 2008
John Carney is expected to start over Lawrence Tynes today as the Giants' placekicker, according to FOX Sports.

Our View:Carney has lost distance on kickoffs, but remains an accurate kicker, as he hit all 12 of his field goal attempts so far this season. He has scored 51 points.
