The Broncos announced on Wednesday morning that Jake Plummer has a fractured foot that will keep him sidelined for the next three to five weeks, according to the team's website. Head athletic trainer Steve Antonopulos believes that Plummer will be out until after the bye week, which comes on Nov. 9, following the Broncos' Week 9 game against the Patriots.

He was too sore to practice Wednesday, but made it through Thursday without any problem. Jake Plummer had an awful debut as the new starting quarterback for the Broncos. Plummer completed just 12-of-25 passes for 115 yards and three interceptions. The Broncos won by 20, but Plummer's play was the only thing that kept the game from being a true blowout.

The Cardinals made a conditional contract offer to Jake Plummer on Friday. Those conditions include the understanding that Plummer would have to compete for the starting job with rookie Josh McCown and any additions the team makes through free agency and the draft, according to the Arizona Republic. The club expects a response by early next week.
