Bennett praises mentor Witten

Rookie tight end Martellus Bennett praised Jason Witten, who is going to be his mentor in Dallas, according to the Dallas Morning News. Bennett said, "He's a technician. A lot of the stuff, he tries to be perfect with everything he does. That's one thing I've noticed about how he practices and his approach to practice and the tempo he goes at every day. He's a hard worker. It's fun to work with a guy like that."
Our View: Bennett will replace Anthony Fasano as the Cowboys' number two tight end. He is athletic with strong receiving skills and runs smooth routes. If he can develop quickly, then Witten could be moved around to serve time on the outside in the number two receiver spot, which looks to be an area of need if Terry Glenn does not return to the field. Patrick Crayton is not a vertical threat on the outside and is best suited for the slot.
