Our View:Bullocks will still have to compete for a job this fall as the Bears are trying to load up at safety. He received a low qualifying offer earlier this offseason.

Chicago Week 1 inactives: CB D.J. Moore, WR Devin Aromashodu, DL Jarron Gilbert, FS Josh Bullocks, WR Juaquin Iglesias, OG Lance Louis, DL Matt Toeaina, TE Michael Gaines.

Our View:Rookie Iglesius has a future with the Bears, but is not yet ready to make an impact. Aromashodu would have seen action in the slot if healthy, but is dealing with a quadriceps injury.

Bears defensive back Josh Bullocks has been switched from free safety to strong safety according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:Although he was brought in this past offseason as a free safety, he will be competing with returning starter Kevin Payne for the Bears starting strong safety gig. There has been no indication yet as to who is the favorite, but Bullocks has said that learning the strong safety position will pay long term dividends for him.
