Giricek and Suns down Trail Blazers
Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Gordan Giricek scored 17 points off the bench to lead the Phoenix Suns past the Portland Trail Blazers, 100-91, in the season finale for both clubs.

Sean Marks chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Suns (55-27), who won two straight and four of five to conclude the season. Phoenix, the sixth seed, will head to San Antonio to face the third-seeded Spurs in the first round of the playoffs. That series begins Saturday, April 19. Player Notes
Travis Outlaw, F Wednesday 4/16, 11:33 PM CT
With the season ending and the Portland Trail Blazers ready to leave it behind with hopes for bigger and better returns next season, the team did little to avoid the 91-100 loss to the Phoenix Suns (lead mostly by backups) this evening. However, veteran forward Travis Outlaw found opportunity and did what he could to enjoy it, going 8-of-19 from the floor, 2-of-5 from the three-point line, and a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe to score 24 points, also adding 12 rebounds to the top effort for Portland on the evening.
James Jones, F Tuesday 4/15, 11:54 PM CT
James Jones hit six 3-pointers and had 20 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 113-91 victory Tuesday over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Our View:Jones didn't received the playing time many believe he should have this year. His 22 minutes per game didn't allow him to maximize his talents.
Brandon Roy, G Tuesday 4/15, 11:51 PM CT
Brandon Roy had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Portland on Wednesday against Memphis.

Our View:The Trailblazers have a chance to finish above .500 for the first time since the 2002 campaign. They have one final test in Phoenix tomorrow night. If they can win they will finish at 82-80.
