Brook Lopez, C Friday 7/4, 10:43 AM CT
Brook Lopez is learning that the NBA is a physical league, and he is adjusting to it, according to the New York Post. "Really, the speed of the game, the physicality. You've got to keep the ball up, finish strong," he said.

Our View: With DeSagana Diop now out of the mix, it's possible Lopez will see extended minutes immediately with the Nets. He could be an early surprise in fantasy basketball should he transition quickly.
Brook Lopez, C Wednesday 7/2, 5:40 PM CT
The Nets have signed Brook Lopez, who the club selected with the 10th overall pick in the draft, according to the Miami Herald. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Our View: Lopez will provide the Nets with a physical post player, and he could make a solid impact right away as a rookie. Lopez averaged 19.3 points and 8.2 rebounds last season at Stanford.
Chris Douglas-Roberts, G Tuesday 7/1, 2:52 PM CT
Chris Douglas-Roberts is upset about lasting until pick 40 in the NBA draft, and he says he's motivated by that, according to the Detroit News. "Big. Big chip. Big. That's the biggest motivation I have. Getting picked 40, I'm gonna write a book," he said.

Our View: Not about Douglas-Roberts' literary aptitude, but he has a handle on that basketball thing. He should get a chance to grab some minutes in New Jersey, but until it's seen how he will be utilized, it's difficult to put a handle on what kind of fantasy impact he will make.
DeSagana Diop, C Tuesday 7/1, 11:25 AM CT
The Dallas Mavericks may use their mid-level exception on center DeSagana Diop, reports the Dallas Star-Telegram.

Our View: The mid-level exception is going to be between $5.5 and $5.7 million this season, which seems like an awful lot for a guy who has career averages of two points and four rebounds. His usefulness in fantasy leagues is minimal, at best.
