Bucks land Jefferson for Yi, Simmons East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks shipped
forwards Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons to the New Jersey Nets on Thursday in
exchange for forward Richard Jefferson.
Jefferson is coming off a career-high 22.6 point-per-game season. The Arizona
product also averaged 4.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists, playing a full 82-game
slate for just the second time in his career. He has battled knee injuries
throughout his seven-year career, but clearly regained his quick first step in
the Nets' disappointing campaign last season.
Andrew Bogut is not a free agent, but he would like to remain in Milwaukee for the foreseeable future by signing a long term extension with the club, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Our View:Bogut has steadily improved during his three seasons in the league, and should continue that trend. He could become a top fantasy option at the thin center position next year.
Richard Jefferson is not happy about being dealt from the Nets to the Bucks, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Nets' President Rod Thorn said, "He didn't seem very happy. I spoke to his agent, I called him, texted him. I like Richard. He was here for a long time and I'm sure he still expected to be here. Unless you are the one pushing for it, it's always difficult when you are traded. You are going to a new place, have new teammates. It's hard at first."
Our View:Jefferson moves to a smaller market in Milwaukee and joins a team that doesn't have a recent history of contending. Hopefully he will adjust to the move, and provide new coach Scott Skiles with much needed firepower at forward, which is what he was brought in for.

Our View:Mbah a Moute is a very raw talent just starting to realize his potential. He needs to be molded to score with effciency, but his work on defense is outstanding.
