Report: Warriors make offer to Brand Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors have reportedly
offered free agent Elton Brand a larger deal than the one offered to him by
the Los Angeles Clippers.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Warriors have offered the power
forward $100 million over five seasons. Brand, who opted out of the final year
of his contract to become a free agent, missed most of the 2007-08 season with
a ruptured left Achilles tendon.

Free agent Monta Ellis is interested in joining the New York Knicks, according to New York Newsday. A restricted free agent, he is said to be seeking around $10 million per year.
Our View:Ellis would do great things in Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni's system. He's already a top fantasy player, but his 20.2 points per game would likely increase under D'Antoni.
Baron Davis expects to be playing with Elton Brand next season, according to the Los Angeles Times. "I can't wait to have an opportunity to play with one of the best big men in the game," he said.
Our View:Fantasy owners can't wait either, as pairing the two together would only help both of their games, as neither would feel the pressure of having to do it all themselves.
Baron Davis has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign with the Clippers, according to the LA Times. Davis is expected to sign a contract in the five-year, $50 million range. His agent said, "From a basketball standpoint it's always been about winning for Baron. This presented a good opportunity to do that to pair him with Chris Kaman and Elton Brand is expected back."
Our View:He would be leaving the Warriors' run-and-gun offense, but he could still challenge 20 points per game with the Clippers.
