Alexis Ajinca, C Tuesday 7/8, 1:05 PM CT
Alexis Ajinca has inked a deal with the Bobcats, according to the Charlotte Observer. He was the 20th overall pick of the draft, and he receives a two-year guaranteed contract, with team options for each of the following two seasons.

Our View: Signing Ajinca means Charlotte successfully released him from his pre-existing contract with the French club Hyeres-Toulon.
DJ Augustin , PG Tuesday 7/8, 1:01 PM CT
The Bobcats have signed first-round pick (ninth overall) DJ Augustin, according to the Charlotte Observer. He receives a two-year guaranteed contract, with team options for each of the following two seasons. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Our View: He will compete with Raymond Felton for the lead role at point guard, but should ultimately win the job, despite a lack of size (6-0 180 pounds).
Sean May, F Thursday 7/3, 8:13 AM CT
Sean May has been cleared for basketball activity and says he'll be ready for training camp in October, according to the Charlotte Observer. May had micro-fracture surgery on his right knee last October.

Our View: “I'm full-go now,” May said Wednesday after working out with North Carolina strength and conditioning coach Jonas Sahratian. Uh-huh. We've heard this before. May has managed just 58 appearances in a possible 246 games since entering the league. IF he is healthy, his presence is badly needed on a frontcourt that likes size and depth. May's weight is a separate but constant issue.
Ryan Hollins, C Tuesday 7/1, 2:18 PM CT
Ryan Hollins has gotten a qualifying offer from the Charlotte Bobcats, making him a restricted free agent. The team can match any offer he receives.

Our View: The 23-year-old 7-foot center played in 60 games for the Bobcats, starting one. He should not be a consideration for fantasy basketball teams.
Jermareo Davidson, F Tuesday 7/1, 1:54 PM CT
Jermareo Davidson had the option on his contract picked up by Charlotte, according to The Sports Network.

Our View: A rookie in 2007-2008, Davidson was a non-factor in fantasy basketball, playing just over eight minutes per game while averaging about three points.
Othella Harrington, F Tuesday 7/1, 1:37 PM CT
Othella Harrington will become a free agent after the Charlotte Bobcats declined his option for the upcoming season, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Harrington only played 22 games last year due to injury, and he is a non-factor in fantasy basketball.
Emeka Okafor, F Tuesday 7/1, 8:08 AM CT
The Charlotte Bobcats have said they will try yet again to lock up Emeka Okafor to a long term deal, reports the Associated Press. "We're going to do everything, but sometimes negotiations can be tough," said managing partner Michael Jordan.

Our View: Okafor reportedly turned down a big money deal last year, and he will become an unrestricted free agent next summer if he does not sign a long term deal with Charlotte. Okafor is a steady if unspectacular fantasy performer whose best asset is the nearly 11 rebounds and two blocks he has averaged per game for his career.
