Player Notes
March 15, 2010
Kevin Garnett chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds in Monday's 119-93 home win over the Pistons. He also had four assists.

Our View:Garnett had another solid outing while coming off an 18-point performance at Cleveland. He will try to stay on track Wednesday in a tough match-up at Houston.
March 14, 2010
Kevin Garnett notched 18 points and seven rebounds in today's 104-93 loss at Cleveland. He also had one assist, one steal and one block.

Our View:KG did not dominate, but scored above his season average in points (14.1). He only scored a total of 15 points over his previous two outings as well.
March 9, 2010
Kevin Garnett double-doubled in Tuesday's 86-84 loss to the Bucks with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Our View:K.G. had ten rebounds in his previous game as well, but managed just eight points on a 0-of-7 shooting effort. He was 7-of-13 in this one and it was nice for owners to see him get back to respectable efforts from the field.
March 7, 2010
Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with ten rebounds, but finished with just eight points on an 0-for-7 shooting effort in Sunday's win over the Wizards.

Our View:Garnett made 8-of-10 shots from the charity stripe for his only points on the day. It was the only time this season when he failed to make at least one bucket and his lowest point total since February 10th when he had seven in a loss to the Hornets.
March 4, 2010
Teammate Kendrick Perkins has declared Kevin Garnett "back," according to the Boston Herald. Perkins is referring to Garnett's improved play since the All-Star break.

Our View:Garnett's achy knee has appeared to be getting better, and the Big Ticket has grabbed nine rebounds in three of Boston's past four games. Maybe there is hope for the Celtics after all.
March 2, 2010
Kevin Garnett scored 14 points to go along with nine boards on Tuesday night, leading Boston past Detroit 105-100.

Our View:He has now grabbed nine rebounds in three straight games. A very good sign for the aging and struggling Celtics.
February 27, 2010
Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 26 points and nine rebounds on Saturday, but it wasn't enough as they were taken down by the lowly Nets 104-96.

Our View:Garnett was an accurate 12-of-16 from the field and matched his highest point total of the season. This was easily his strongest performance since returning from injury in late January, but his health and his age make him a dicey fantasy play.
February 25, 2010
Kevin Garnett accumulated 10 points and 10 rebounds on Thursday night, but his five turnovers helped doom Boston in a 108-88 loss to Cleveland.

Our View:K.G. simply has no explosion coming off of his latest knee injury, and you have to start wondering how much gas he has left in the tank. If his play does not pick up soon, it's hard to see Boston as much of a threat in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
February 1, 2010
Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 19 points in tonight's 99-88 win at Washington, to go along with six rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Our View:Garnett had his best scoring output since December 18, when racked up 21 points versus Philadelphia. He only scored 10 points in his previous contest against the Lakers.
January 29, 2010
Kevin Garnett chipped in 15 points in tonight's 100-91 loss at Atlanta, to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

Our View:Fantasy owners should be pleased with Garnett's performance, as he was averaging 14.7 points and 7.3 rebounds heading into battle. He bounced back after being held to six points in his previous game at Orlando as well.

Kevin Garnett (knee) is in Friday's starting lineup against the Hawks.

Our View:Garnett played in Thursday's game, but was obviously limited by his injury. The Celtics have a big game tonight against the Hawks, so that's likely why he's in there. He should be a decent fantasy play, but don't expect huge numbers as he's still not 100 percent.
January 24, 2010
ESPN.com reports that Kevin Garnett reported no pain in his knee following two straight days of practices. After missing 10 games, he returned on Friday.

Our View:The Celtics have a brutal schedule this week, but KG should be a fine fantasy play. He's learned to be much more efficient as his minutes continue to decline.
January 23, 2010
Kevin Garnett (knee) did indeed return to action on Friday night, scoring 13 points in 30 minutes along with four rebounds, three assists and two blocks in Boston's win over Portland.

Our View:In case you forgot, KG's numbers have been down across the board this season, though he's still well worth playing for fantasy purposes whenever healthy. Get him back into your lineup immediately.
January 22, 2010
After missing the team's past 10 games, Kevin Garnett (knee) will most likely return to the Celtics lineup on Friday night when they take on the Trail Blazers, according to NESN.

Our View:He has been expected to return tonight for a few days now, and after the club sent J.R. Giddens back to the Developmental League on Thursday, it seems like a certainty. The C's went just 4-6 without him during his latest absence.
January 16, 2010
Kevin Garnett (knee) is indeed now targeting January 22 against the Blazers as his return date to the lineup, according to the Boston Herald.

Our View:Garnett has missed Boston's past eight games. If he does make it back next Friday, expect his minutes to be limited for a number of games as Boston eases him back into the lineup. Stay tuned.
January 15, 2010
Kevin Garnett, who has missed Boston's past seven games with a knee injury, may return next Friday, according to ESPN.

Our View:However, it is currently being classified as only an "outside chance." Considering the kid gloves Boston has been treating its franchise player with, don't consider it all that likely he'll be back next week. In the seven games he's missed, Boston has gone 4-3.
January 11, 2010
Kevin Garnett will be on the shelf for at least another ten days while recovering from a knee injury, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Garnett has been cleared to work out today for the first time since suffering the injury. Glen Davis should continue to be afforded more playing time in his absence.
January 9, 2010
Kevin Garnett (knee) remains out indefinitely, though he apparently could be taking the court right now if it were playoff time, according to the Boston Herald.

Our View:It's nice to know that Garnett's ailment isn't too serious, though he apparently learned his lesson last year when he rushed back from his injury and ended up missing the playoffs as a result. Look for the Celtics to play it safe with KG and wait to bring him back until there's no risk of a setback; just when that time will come remains to be seen.
January 3, 2010
Kevin Garnett (hyperextended knee) is "still 10 days" away from returning to Boston's lineup, according to head coach Doc Rivers via the Boston Herald.

Our View:Garnett's knee woes continue to grow more worrisome for Boston. For now, the injury doesn't appear to be anything serious, but considering how much time he has already been out, and how much time he missed at the end of 2008-09, all is not rosy on the KG front.
January 2, 2010
Kevin Garnett could be on the shelf for 10 more days while recovering from his hyperextended right knee, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Head coach Doc Rivers intends to give the star forward plenty of rest, and won't rush Garnett back to the court. He may not return until January 13th against the Nets, in which case he would miss five more games.
