The Orange County Register reported Monday that Lakers center Chris Mihm hopes there's no validity to the rumors of him being traded to his hometown Milwaukee Bucks for former LA guard Tyronn Lue. "I've been through a lot in the last five years (with the Lakers), and I feel like we're on the track to something special here," Mihm said.

Our View:Mihm, a nine-year veteran who is averaging 2.6 points per game this season, said he preferred a ring as a member of the Lakers over playing time and points.

Chris Mihm's surgically repaired ankle is no longer bothering him, the LA Times reports.

Our View:The Lakers have plenty of depth at center, so Mihm is unlikely to contribute much for the Lakers this season in spite of his good health.

Chris Mihm will undergo a medical procedure on Thursday which he hopes will speed up his return to the court, this according to the LA Daily News. Earlier this month he had a screw removed from his injured ankle, and the current procedure will consist of inserting healthy, treated blood into the injured area. He is still a long ways from helping out the Lakers or a fantasy squad.

Chris Mihm will undergo surgery on his right heel that will cause him to miss four to six weeks. He has been sidelined since Dec. 23 because of bursitis in his right heel and a sore Achilles' tendon in his right foot, according to the LA Times.

Chris Mihm is traveling with the Lakers on their monster nine-game road trip, but he's not close to playing, according to the LA Times. "We're projecting post-All-Star [break]," coach Phil Jackson said. "He's along on this trip to do a lot of work." With Andrew Bynum out for a couple of months, Mihm should have some value in the Lakers' frontcourt once he's over his sore right Achilles tendon.
January 4, 2008
Lakers center Chris Mihm will miss three to four weeks due to a sore right Achilles, the LA Times reported. Mihm will have weekly sonar-wave treatment on the heel. His right ankle has been surgically repaired twice.

Our View:Mihm held out as long as he could, but with Kwame Brown now back from injury the Lakers don’t need him as much. Andrew Bynum and Brown will both get a few extra minutes per game with Mihm out.
